Great used bookstore. Have been going to it for many years. Very friendly and ready-to-help staff. They’ve always kept their prices pretty low, while other stores have upped their’s in recent years.
Always a good selection. Have found some rare gems there. Have probably bought 400 books from them. Highly recommend.

Shopping for books at your regular Goodwill stores has become dire—but that's because the dedicated bookstores have all the good stuff. All three locations—Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice—are excellent—clean, well-organized, and with a small but surprisingly good selection of books, many in VG+ condition. The people are without exception helpful, pleasant, and well-informed. The prices are nuts. Most things are only three bucks. Don't miss the Florida-related shelves. One tip: Check out the rare book sections, which target more than just the true collector. If you want poetry that's where you'll find it. When they ask you to round up at checkout, you'll want to round up more.

Only thing we would say is the address on Google should be updated to their new location on Albee Farm Rd. - it is a marvelous bookstore- very clean and organized!!

I shop at this Goodwill often but had a discouraging experience. Unfortunately at this location, honesty is not the best policy. I was looking at the video games, which I always check to see if the correct games and manuals are inside. In this situation inside a Wii Fit was an incorrect manual as well as the correct manual. Instead of lying, and sliding it into a different game, I brought the manual up to the register and asked if I could buy this manual as it is, since it was in the incorrect game case. The individual at the register was slightly rude asking me “is there was a price sticker?”, I said no and proceeded to explain the situation again. Then the individual abruptly and in a rude manner said “you better put that back where you found it.” This was incredibly unfortunate as I am a frequent customer of this store. This could have been resolved which would have resulted in a sale as well as maintain another item that is still available for purchase to another customer. This occurred on November 30th around 2pm. I really hope this doesn’t happen to other customers or myself in the future.

So glad my sis-in-law recommended this place to me, I’ve always hated getting books at Goodwill because A) they were outdated B) you couldn’t really find anything specific as they are usually disorganized. This place is awesome, I got a few books I wasn’t look for along with several I specific needed to get. They were easy to find, in great condition, the majority of books were up to date with a mix of vintage ones. I paid $46 for 14 books with the majority of books priced at $2.99. I looked up the exact books on Amazon and counted how much I would have paid for them there, nevermind retail stores like Barnes and Noble, and it came out to be just over $200. Insane. Such a great resource, I will be back again and again and I’m going to check out the other location too. The staff was super helpful and friendly, good vibes all around.

Great store for books and a little bit of media, decent prices overall. Really nice staff and a very very clean store. A great place for thrift heads like myself! Highly recommended.
