As being someone who works in retail, I can safely say that I will never shop at H&M again due to poor customer service here. The girl working the register did not know what she was doing, and there was a staff member in particular (white, short male with blonde hair) that was extremely nasty and rude. Unfortunately it seems that this is how they run things here after reading similar reviews.

Poor-quality jeans!
I wore the jeans once and washed them, only to find a rip in the crotch and on the back pockets. Despite having owned them for just two weeks, H&M has refused to exchange the item because it has been worn. However, the material is clearly substandard, and the jeans are defective.

The store is downright ugly. I have been to so many of their stores throughout the USA and always leave with something in hand and could not find one item that was appealing. Nothing fancy, nothing sexy-ish, barely any kind of Christmas color for the season. I wasted my time here!

Nicely curated, but take your “woke” practice of charging 10 cents for a shopping bag elsewhere. Saving a paper shopping bag is not helping the environment; rather, it’s inconveniencing the customer and detracting from an otherwise pleasant shopping experience. This type of performative business model and virtue signaling is so 2020. Don’t NY my Florida!

I am surprised by the store, the shopping bags cost $0.10, if you do not pay for the bag they give you the merchandise in your hand with the invoice.

The staff here are so miserable and rude. Won’t say hello or speak to you. While checking out when I said hello to the cashier she literally rolled her eyes at me and did not respond. The manager or district manager needs to get involved with the staff here.

Several trips to this location and getting any help in the form of customer service is practically non existent. The majority of the staff here typically replies with “I don’t know” to anything you could possibly ask them about regarding the inventory or to find a size or style. You might as well just shop online and skip the interactions with people that care less about customer service or the customer experience. Otherwise decent clothes at a reasonable price. The fabric can feel a bit rough and could be softer to the feel.

So we went to the H&M at the Sarasota mall. Sans outfit that my wife really liked. We decided we wanted it but the only size that was available that actually fit her was on the manikin. The manager abruptly yelled at us at the top of his lungs. When I say, he yelled everyone within 25 to 30 feet could hear him telling us we could not buy the one on the mannequin, and even though there was more on the rack that were just a different size. He refused to switch them out. I highly recommend that HM check the security cameras and you’ll see that what I’m saying really happened. The gentleman is a short gentleman who wears a baseball hat. He was wearing shorts that were mid shin. He would rather lose the sale than simply swap out a shirt on a mannequin. Not only did H M, lose the sale, they lost a customer. I will never go back in again.
This happened on April 23 at approximately 3:40 PM. You’ll see the manager walk out of the store.
I understand getting good employees is difficult now But you should at least make sure that the manager knows how to deal with clients. Good news is Xpress banana republic, and several other awesome stores are literally walking distance.
