Delivery fees are very high but the assortment of products is fantastic. Did not end up buying anything since $175 for delivery seemed like a ton of money.

We visited pretty much all the furniture stores in the Sarasota/Port Charlotte area. We came to Matter brothers last. Matt Taylor greeted us at the door. We told him we wanted to have a general look around the store. He left us in peace to do just that, checking in once in awhile, not every two or 3 minutes like other places!Matt is a very honest person who tells it like it is, he is so knowledgeable on all the furniture and the manufacturers in the store. When we told him that the color of the table we bought from another store was not going to work after checking at house, which we are closing on November 10th, he helped us build a new table by the same manufacturer with the colors we wanted for the same price. The lady at the other store didn’t tell us we had any choices in colors.We ended up buying all major items for our new build from Matter Brothers, canceled other items we bought in other stores. Matter Brothers is my all time favorite furniture store thanks to Matt Taylor.

Great customer service by Christian. Beautiful dining set purchased for an excellent price and top quality. Delivery was fast and they assembled the furniture with great care. Will absolutely return and purchase more furniture from this reputable store.

Wow! If you want great service and beautiful furniture from start to finish you need to shop here! We looked in all the main furniture stores from Naples to St. Petersburg and found the best selection and best sales people at Matter Brothers in Sarasota. Darnell was the best! He made everything easy as we added and subtracted choices. He made sure our selections were held even though our house took longer to be built than we thought. We always enjoyed going to the store and all our interactions with him. He was quick to respond to all our questions. Gail was great too! She helped us see the best color choices and furniture matches. As for delivery, it was perfect! Eddie and his assistant were extremely conscientious in their handling of the furniture and protecting our new house walls, doors etc. If you want top notch service from shopping to delivery, Matter Brothers in Sarasota is the place to go.

What a beautiful store. Our salesman was not pushy and gave us a lot of room to shop, he was there for us when we needed him and was knowledgeable when we asked questions. We enjoyed our experience and bought a number of amazing pieces. Pleasure to so business with Matter Bothers.

Although I have heard the name previously, this was my first time shopping and purchasing from Matter Brothers Furniture of Sarasota. Extremely large, airy, and bright showroom for customers to clearly peruse through the merchandise. Vikki Soltis was the salesperson who assisted me with my product purchase and I couldn't have been any more pleased with her expertise and professionalism throughout the process. The only small issue was regarding the delivery day for my product. Due to what I assume was a disconnect in communication behind the scenes, the actual delivery was four days after the estimated delivery date on my invoice. Nevertheless, my product was delivered undamaged, and the delivery team was gracious enough to locate the product to its final resting place in my residence. Overall a wonderful experience shopping at Matter Brothers Furniture of Sarasota and I see myself shopping there again in the future.

Easy shopping experience, thanks to our sales person Laurene. We purchased a sofa for our living room from their wide selection of styles, sizes and colors. The price was right and fast delivery since the item is in stock. We’ve purchased from MB before, but this was one of our best experiences there!

Matter Brothers has a beautiful selection of furniture. I've been to Tampa and all around Sarasota looking at stores. Either they had poor quality furniture with bad designs or they were way overpriced. Matter Brothers was the store I returned to and bought everything from. Ask for Lee! He was patient and so very helpful. I was able to get all of my rooms delivered on the same day. Everything was in stock. This is my new favorite go-to store for furniture.

Enjoyed working with Lee Parrish. He was very helpful, patient, understanding and not at all pushy. He went out of his way to make sure we made the right choices for ourselves. He also went to bat for us to get all the discounts we could qualify for.We also were impressed with the selection of furnishings in the store.Joe & Trish Zimmerman

We purchased a tv console, a sofa & 2 loveseats from Matter Brothers in June of 2022. The console was defective (cracked) and when they brought the replacement it was even worse. The 3rd wasn't perfect but we kept it because we were tired of sending them back. The sofa & loveseats have power recliners, the footrest, for lack of better words is always crooked when extended. The repair guy keeps blaming it on us, saying we need to close them before getting up off the furniture. He's very condesceding, I don't need him telling me how to get up off my furniture. (we do close them) Now one of the batteries for the power recliners died and won't charge. The manufacturer, Enouvation, won't replace it, they said it's our fault for letting it drain all the way. For $359. it should be able to be charged no matter how much charge is or isn't left. Matter Brothers told us we'd have to fight it out with Enouvation, Enouvation said Matter Brothers should have instructed us how to use it. These batteries have barely been used and only have been charged 3 or 4 times. We will never buy another thing from Matter Brothers.

Matter Brothers delivered my new furniture today, including two loveseats, chairs, dining room table and chairs, bedroom set, etc. and all of the pieces were perfect and even better than I expected. It was particularly great to work with Bo Bohannon in the Sarasota store. He's knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I was particularly impressed with how responsive he was when I had a question. The prices seemed to be in line with other stores; the quality was excellent. The showroom is absolutely beautiful, filled with quality contemporary and coastal merchandise that won’t break the bank. Vikki greeted me as I arrived but then just let me browse on my own (which I prefer). She’s been very helpful with advice when I’m trying to make choices. I’ve bought several items but returned one that didn’t work with my color scheme and she made it easy. She’s honest about my choices, preferring to forego a sale rather than push me to go ahead with a choice that isn’t right for the room. I will definitely use Matter Brothers in the future.

Dayna Puhaly from Sarasota Matter Brothers Furniture on Clark Road made something I don’t like doing—shopping, into something better than okay. She is professional, knows every stick of wood in the store, and she is helpful without being pushy, which makes me want to just leave. I did not want to leave. And you know what? She is a really nice person.

Horrible customer service. I left frustrated without buying anything. Apparently, if someone even says hello to you, you're their customer -- even if they never speak to you again. I browsed for 40 minutes without assistance. When I had questions, I couldn't get help from an available associate because some man, who I never saw again said "welcome to the showroom" to me. Another saleswoman actually told the helpful one to stop helping me because I belonged to the guy who said hello. Customers ought to be able to choose a salesperson who makes them comfortable and will actually help them. When I pointed out this poor service to the man behind the desk, he didn't apologize or make any effort to correct the situation. Your commissions are not more important than the customer's needs.

So I have actually worked on furniture sales floors in Texas, for some pretty big name chains. When we first walked in, we were pleasantly greeted by CC. She was warm and welcoming without being overpowering and giving us a 15 minute spiel on the layout and the store and everything else. I am personally one of those that doesn't want to get bombarded by whichever sales person is "up" when I walk in the door. Drives me nuts. Greet me, make yourself available, and let me do what I came in to do. (Isn't it ironic how sales people don't want to be sold to?)The show room itself is beautiful... very well done and very well presented. It's not crowded and cluttered and easy to get through. Not long after we settled on a dining room set did she notice and come and check in. She got us all situated got our order written up, schedule delivery for us for this coming Monday, and we are excited about our dining room set delivery! I will shop here again with absolutely no hesitation and personally ask for her, which is what that business is all about...Repeat business and referrals. Probably one of my best furniture experiences, no doubt!
