Awesome customer experience although I must say the car selections lately are very slim and as a premier customer, they should pay more attention to ensuring good car selections for us long time, loyal members.

I had one of the worst customer experiences that I have had with national at this location. I rented a car on 8/25. The girls at the counter were extremely nice and deserve a 5 star but their manager was incredibly rude reporting that they don’t provide upgrades (before even checking to see that I was executive elite). He then doubled down when he found out and still refused to upgrade me. The girls working basically stated that “he’s always like this” and while I found him incredibly rude and condescending I let it go and had no intention of leaving a review until my experience today. Today I checked my app and noticed that my rental, which I returned yesterday, had not been checked out. I notified national and was contacted by the same person at Sarasota who immediately became hostile and confrontational accusing me of leaving it at the wrong location. Instead of him attempting to locate the vehicle or figure out what had happened he then threatened to put me on a do not rent list. I’ve been renting from national as my go to brand for the last 4 years and rent cars the majority of the year (over 180 this year and over 250 in 2020). I have not once had an issue returning a car or had an issue with a national representative until this experience. Whoever was working the front desk on 8/25 and working today on 8/29 needs some serious retraining in customer service as they are falling far short of what I have come to expect from national over the past 4 years.

We had such a good experience with both pick up and drop off at the Sarasota airport. Gina at pick up was great to deal with. She was kind and explained everything perfectly. Our SUV was even upgraded. At drop off we didn’t feel rushed and more than once was told thank you for choosing National and to have a safe flight home. Definitely will rent again with National.

Picked up our rental at Sarasota Airport. Very easy transaction.Car was fine except blue tooth didn't always work. I mentioned it when we turned in the car and was given a $10 credit. National is consistantly a good experience.

On pick up at SRQ I was greeted at the counter by a member of staff who was very polite and engaging. He gave me options of what vehicle I would like. The condition and cleanliness of the vehicle was 10/10.On return I was greeted by Alex who was very efficient and polite. He checked me out very promptly so I could get on my way.I would definitely rent from this location again.We done National SRQ!

As an Emerald club member, we had one person in front of us when we were picking up the vehicle. The general line had about 30 people waiting to be helped. They were experiencing computer issues, but I was impressed with the employees that found other resources to help. There were computer terminals in the outdoor drop off area that were not affected. Everyone I spoke with was pleasant and helpful. Locating the car was easy and for the most part very clean. In the cargo area there was a small area that had what looked like sugar from a sour gummies candy bag. Since it was where we were going to put our stuff, I asked if there was something I could use to wipe it up, the gentleman had some wipes and was able to get it cleaned up quickly. I was also shown that if we have a small spill, there were provided cleaning wipes in the center console. There was just a little confusion on my part when leaving, being that I am not a frequent renter. I was not familiar with the process of just getting in and driving away. But quickly figure that out. The return process was even easier. We had the car filled with fuel before we dropped it off. The return line was efficient and all the data for the vehicle was in the palm of the hand of the return worker. He knew how many miles we drove and that it was full. I am looking forward to my next trip.

The first rental car had transmission and brake issue exchange the vehicle they gave us a dirty smelly vehicle. They were not friendly or accommodating. Considering I have a handicapp child and have recently had surgery on my foot and it made me late for my doctors appointment.

I had a business trip to Sarasota in March. The trip changed many times, but the team I worked with at this National did an excellent job of accommodating my needs. Each person I worked with was very professional, making the trip a success. Thank you.

Car was clean, but relatively high mileage. The warning light about getting the car to the dealer for service came on less than half way on our trip. Also, the cruise stopped working. We were given a discount and the car did function OK. We didn't drive a lot so only nervous on our 1.5 hour drive to the airport. Will still rent from National as the majority of the time we have had pleasant service and nice cars.

5 Star!! As part of the Emerald Club, I was able to bypass the line and it literally took less than two minutes to receive the keys. The minivan had less than 3,000 miles, clean, etc… Due to a flight cancelation I needed to extend 1 extra day, which was very convenient and only a minimal cost increase. When we returned the vehicle, Ernie was very polite, told jokes to my 3-year-old son, etc… Great customer service from start to finish.

I recently rented a vehicle from National and I was very pleased with it. They provided me a brand new Jeep with less than 1K miles on it. It drove beautifully and was the perfect size. Pick up and drop off was so easy and fast I had no complaints. I will rent from them again for all my future trips.

We flew to Sarasota on my daughters spring break. It was a last minute decision so we were told when we booked the car there was nothing available the day we landed. This would have meant finding transportation to our hotel and then back to airport the next day to pick up our rental. When our flight landed we checked at the National counter and they were happy to accommodate us. No extra trip back to the airport the next day. I was so happy! The gentleman at the counter was very friendly and helpful and overall it was a great experience!

I am a loyal national car customer. I have executive status. I recently had a terrible experience in the Sarasota airport. I was asked for a copy of my passport to rent the car. I didn’t have it on me. The manager was very rude and almost refused to rent me the car. He refused to accept that that I have rented enough cars to qualify for executive status. Luckily I had a picture of it in my phone. The manager made a big deal of allowing this on a one time only basis. I was fuming when I walked away. Worst experience ever in all my years renting cars with national.
