Petco was wonderful. I called at the last minute for my dog (maltese) to have her nails clipped and a medicated bath. The young lady that took care of us was great. I will definitely go back for a full service.

I spent 1.5 hours trying to purchase Prescription Dog Food at my local PETCO, They had the food, I had the prescription. A new law prohibits the sale of the food unless ordered online for customer pick-up. I tried to order the food online while I was at the store. The customer service representative had no idea what to do and put me on hold several times. She would come back to me on the phone but after nearly an hour of run around, was unable to place the order. I expect this company to eventually fail due to a management system that is clearly incompetent and overwhelmed. I have no plans to do any business with them in the future.

Beware the blue haired groomer named lee!
Made an appointment to have my 10 lb dog groomed today. He’s been groomed many times at Petco and while he definitely is anxious and had gone a while without a groom (some mats in fur) it was clear from the moment we dropped him off that they just did not want to deal with him. This is the only location we’ve taken them to that has not been able to accommodate him and they called us in under five minutes and told us to pick him up because they didn’t want to do it. They kept reiterating that he was “old and they were worried about hurting him.”
We asked if she could try and just groom areas that he was more comfortable with, give him a small, trim, or accommodate him at all, but we were told absolutely not so rudely.
The truth of the matter is the blue haired girl “lee” clearly doesn’t want to accommodate dogs that have any issues as all. it was clear she didn’t wanna do it from the moment we dropped him off. So rude. Don’t bother taking your pet here.

Yesterday my dog had an appt and they wouldn’t let me drop her off since “all of the crates were full” .. then I came back and hour later and dropped her off. They said come back at 5:30 because they close at 6.. I get there and the guy up front had no clue where my dog was.. then went in the back and “had a meeting with the team, like four of them huddled up” a blond heavy set lady and another young girl come out with my dog still not groomed … this was three hours later with no communication. They said my 4lb toy poodle mix was being aggressive and they were unable to groom her. But obviously, it’s an excuse for them being really behind on schedule. One lady had dropped her dog off two hours prior and they never called her to pick her dog up. My dog has been groomed there so many times and this was a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE FROM BEGINNING TO END. If I could give zero stars I would!

Made an appointment with grooming at the pelican cove store to groom my dog went there and they said I was at the wrong location. That made me very angry and I will never shop there again. So be careful when you make an appointment at 1 location they will tell you no. VERY UPSET ABOUT THIS. I will give my business to petsmart or pet supermarket but never never again at petco. I have also told my friends and family and you have just lost about 30 customers.
