In looking for a medication that would offer pain relief as a muscle relaxer, I called my local Publix Pharmacy- wheee I spend $400 weekly on groceries- and was advised to go to this pharmacy as the computer showed they had 90 pills in stock. Upon a discussion with a male pharmacy tech at the new location which is Publix in Siesta Row, I was told he could not sell me ANY of the med as he was "saving it for a regular customer". Keep in mind he could have offered me 5 pills to get me thru until a new order arrived or filled a partial for myself and his "pill pal". It instead was triggered to ask me a condescending "I'm sure you understand". You're big Publix but not that big. If policy allows unprofessional activities like this to continue they should lose their license to dispense medicine or provide any medical services. I have yet to hear back from Publix management

As soon as I landed and was picked up we headed straight to the Publix. This location felt so upscale but truth be told all locations in Florida feel that way really. I am used to Atlanta Publix. It's different. I will forever say that Florida has everything you can imagine. The variety in their stores are much different than those I Georgia. This store was on the smaller scale. Aisles are narrow however this place packs a punch. Everything is neat and fresh. You have an abundance to choose from. The deli was busy. Aren't they always? They got us out of there in a good amount of time. No worries. The staff was nice. Big kudos to them for having a lot of handicap buggies available. That is so important. Everyone should have access to food shopping. Thank you Publix. Where shopping is a pleasure.

Publix just gets worse and worse every year, and more outrageously expensive. I think at this point they are unnecessarily gouging their customers...because they can, being the largest grocery chain in the area with little competition. What a shame! The produce selection is awful and not fresh and good. I could not even buy a fresh romaine lettuce. Every lettuce was packaged except for one type of lettuce (iceberg) and they were small and browning. Publix takes a lot of shelf room for their own products, over some of the better traditional brands. The juices were a dollar more than other places, and the deli selection was outrageously expensive for the brands. The last time I was in the store, I asked three employees where the mozzarella cheese was and they did not know.....The help in the store has no idea where anything is, if you ask them, or what many of the food items even are! I will travel farther to try other options, although there are few.

If I could give them a zero I would. Not only do they not meet customer needs, they place very sick people at risk by letting things drop thru the cracks, by not making sure hey have the inventory and by making problems and not offering assistance to solve the (very urgent) situations they put people in.problems started when new Manager started.

This is the dirtiest and most unfriendly Publix I've ever shopped at. The store layout is difficult, the interior and exterior extremely filthy and the employees all appear to be miserable. Ellen at customer service talks poorly about customers in front of other customers. What a disappointment after moving to Sarasota. The shopping center the store is located is new and already run down, consistent with the homeless population that seem to live and hang outside the store. The store manager is clearly lazy and oblivious to how decrepit this store is to any other Publix in the state of Florida. Now I know why so many people are willing to go to Whole Foods or Publix locations further on Fruitville road. If the store is filthy, that must be a reflection of the poor quality the food is handled and stored. Shopping at Publix at 1044 N Tamiami Trail Broadway Promenade is NOT a pleasure.

They were extremely rude to me as I dropped off the prescription for my mother for her out patient surgery. They must have assumed I was a druggie, but my issue was an unlocked $2,000 bike I had out front and they talked down to me as though I was in there committing a felony.

The Publix Pharmacy here is superb. The pharmacists are friendly and handle the stress extremely well. The last three times I have been in, they have filled my prescriptions while I shopped. I also went in for a flu shot and they took me immediately, no wait time and they were happy to do it.

Let me begin by saying I have never posted a review on any establishment (good or bad) in my entire life. That is how horrible this Publix is. If I could give this Publix 0 stars, I would. Not sure where to begin but, the store is insanely small. Brushing shoulders with maskless crack heads in cramped aisles, an active duty cop stands at the door most of the day (he wears a mask) and does nothing about these people not wearing masks despite the mandatory mask signs. The employees have 0 care in the world about customers barring a few friendly cashiers and baggers. The deli team has to be the biggest group of morons in there. I shop at this publix around once a week because of how close I live to it, and today was the final straw. Do not bother ordering anything on the Publix app from this store for scheduled pickup (subs, deli meat, etc). I ordered 3 subs to be picked up at 10:30am. I go into Publix at 10:35 and my order isn't in the online order bin, so I ask a deli attendant and she has no idea what i'm talking about and doesn't have my order ticket. I was strapped with time and already frustrated, and she started to make my order with the tickets in front of her. No problem, I can wait. It takes her 30 minutes to make 3 subs, and after all that time, when I go to eat my sub, it is completely wrong. How stupid can you be? The ticket is right in front of you with everything supposed to be on the sub written on it! If you like maskless crackheads, homeless people, and the worst customer service known to man, shop here!

More people in the store today without masks than those of us with them. Employees with masks off of face and down on chin. No social distancing or sanitizing. Horrible!!!
