A beautiful day for golf made not so good for the fact that accessibility is an issue for me around the greens. I could not get close to putt due to cart shutting off even though I had a flag and the cart was set for handicapped. The Marshall was very helpful. We also talked to the pro shop. I know that damage to the greens is an issue but most people are respectful. There should be a way to disable the cart for a few disabled folks. Beautiful course but we will not be back!

The Highlanda course is in much better shape this year. The new groundskeeper has had a great impact!

Very nice course with a good mix of difficulties hole to hole. Tees for all levels. Every staff member I met in pro shop and on the course was super nice and helpful on my first visit. Check it out.

Wow, what an upgrade! I went down for my annual trip to Sarasota and played 18 at The Highlands course (public), which I played last year. Phenomenal improvement! The only feedback I have is that a little more sand in the bunkers would be nice. I'll definitely be back!

If you have not played the Highlands recently, I suggest that you do consider playing here.
I recently played here Oct 21st and was amazed at the transformation of the front nine, in particular. The greens were in wonderful shape compared to 4 or 5 months ago and the fairways had been renovated and were very easy to hit from.
What a pleasant surprise!
If you played the course in the past year and were disappointed, please give yourself another shot at playing here when you can.
Mother Nature has taken out some of her wrath out on our whole Gulf Coast this year and there is evidence in some of the rough and also the heavily wooded areas, but the grounds crew has done a great job in making the course playable so quickly. Major kudos to the superintendent and his workers.
If you are new to the Sarasota -Bradenton area and are looking for a public course to play, The Highlands in The Meadows, gives you a golf course that is very golfer friendly, but is also a good test of your game and is in wonderful playing condition at this time.
Come out and enjoy it.

I played the course this week. Compared to last year vastly improved. Fairways excellent. Greens rolled well. Keep up the good progress. My favorite layout of all area public courses Glad my friend encouraged me to play the course

The condition of this course has improved significantly. The greens are much better and the fairways have been well maintained. For the cost, this place is great!!

Great course! Friendly and helpful staff.
Was able to book the day before and had sat 7am tee to myself. 90 min 9 holes.
Rental clubs are excellent. Greens were slow but good condition. Course was fun. Played the front nine at Highlands. No driving range but they have nice hitting nets off mats to warm up.
The other course (The Grove) is private. They have a driving range but members only.

The course is terrific. Last year the condition was in need of repair. What a wonderful improvement this year. Loved it!! To the staff……well played!

The Highlands Golf Course, one of two public golf courses at The Meadows Country Club, is a course you will will want to play this season. It is in very good condition at this time, you will not be disappointed in the layout of this course.
