Be really careful using your phone here. Everytime i sit down near the stage or other sitting areas to use my phone, it is being hacked/ compromised. Do not get on the public wifi either. Sarasota is not a secure place to rely on wifi anywhere. There is a pineapple / raspberry (google it) out here somewhere and no one seems to be smart enough to figure it out and find it...or they are willingly involved. You'll notice some guy show up and sit down near you minutes after you get on your phone for more than 5 minutes.

My husband made a reservation for our anniversary tonight. We had a bottle of wine and a dozen oysters for an appetizer. Oysters showed $26 a dozen on the menu. The waitress asked which ones we preferred and we couldn't decide, she said she would bring all three PEI oysters in the dozen. Oysters were delicious. I ordered the king crab for $66 which came in a cluster the size of snow crab and was overcooked, it could literally be folded in half without cracking the shell. My husband ordered the stuffed hogfish. He didn't finish the fish. Crab cake was great but that's all it was, a cooked crab cake placed inside two fish filets like a sandwich. The fish was supposed to be broiled and appeared boiled and was rubbery. He literally picked up a whole filet with his fork and it stayed together like a piece of cardboard. I asked him if we should say something and he said no as he didn't want to make our anniversary worse with negative confrontation. We asked for the bill and the waitress asked if we wanted dessert. We replied no as we are not hungry anymore and she stated "you can get it to go on us for your anniversary". I love carrot cake so I said sure, the carrot cake to go please. We gave her our card when she brought the to go cake. Never saw her again. The check had our $26 oyster as $48 because we were charged individually for each oyster instead of as a dozen. The carrot cake which was on them was $16. We looked for a manager and our waitress with no luck and left very disappointed in the quality and ethics of this establishment. Should have went back to Owen's. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody. I posted this same review an hour ago and it had already been removed by management.

I enjoyed Waterside. I would like more farmers there though and the farmers there only had fruits not vegetables, with the exception of one.

The damage this area is wrecking upon the Florida environment is absolutely not worth building a fake lake that's not even pretty or overpriced restaurants, and it's preposterous that the city even approved this

Isaiah was our server and was super nice and attentive. He made us a great fresh guacamole and his commentary on the ingredients was very entertaining!Rachael the manager is super nice and came over to greet us as she remembered us from the Good Liquid Brewing Company.Steak fajitas were delicious and steak was nice and tender.Guacamole was very good and two beers and a pina colada and only $71 with 2 meals!Outside bar is awesome with water view and speakeasy inside bar as well!

Best restaurant at waterside so far! Food, drinks and service was amazing! Andres was our server, his upbeat personality and smile was just such a delight! The manager checked on us several times and she was so nice too!
