Catering review. If you're thinking of using Whole Foods for your next event, I would recommend the following on specific items. We ordered for 25 guests. Chicken wings came drenched in sauces. Ask for dry rub and sauce on the side. Salad greens - ask to separate the pecans and cheese, especially for guests with allergies. Although online ordering is easy, call-in customer service was not able to help with basic questions. There is no catering service of any kind in store. At pick up, they forgot the wraps so we had to go back to the store right before the party. Double check your order. In store - customer service was very nice. Have a fun event!

I love the hot food bar especially the honey orange chicken and the Mac and cheese. I also like their bbq chicken pizza. Always fresh and made with the best ingredients.

Not sure what's going on at Whole Foods.I've shopped at Whole Foods for years, but lately I've found:Publix has substantially lower prices on the vegan items I buy.Publix has a larger selection of organic produce not grown in Mexico.Whole Foods is using bioengineered ingredients in their bakery items. How is there anything 'whole' about bioengineered ingredients?I'm willing to pay more for better items or selection but when I can get better selection and better food at Publix, why should I stay with Whole Foods?

Call me silly, but I have fun in Whole Foods locations in different cities. I like to see what the options are, and what might be local to the area. I picked up some snacks and drinks for vacation, including my favorite Hawaiian iced tea (hard to find!), and hit the beauty department for a browse and some little goodies. I also got a couple of cans of wine, which seems easier than a bottle, and some bakery goods. There was a good amount of parking in the adjacent garage, and it was easy in and out. The store was on the smaller side, but managed to pack a lot in.

Very strange that Seafood dept. won't shuck oysters on Friday ( when $1.00 each) Johnny stated "too much work" he ought to be out of work in my opinion.

Shout out to Ben! What customer service!!! My toddler got her fist stuck in the cupholder She couldn't free herself. Way too tight. It was a dicey moment. If she panicked, disaster would have ensued. Ben jumped into action without upsetting her at all, grabbed us some oil, slipped her fist out with a huge smile and calm demeanor.Hero!!! Thank you Ben.

Again!!! Twice in the same week. Kicked out by the same security guard for sitting on the window ledge. After the first time, I checked in with the customer service employees to see if it permissible to do this. I was told it's not a problem at all. Even saw a staff member and other customers doing the same thing. This security guard is on a mission to be empowered and initiate a conflict. I told a friend about this incident who is a regular customer and they said they saw him being aggressive to someone else as well. I don't know why he feels the need to create a problem for regular customers. This is not ok and I don't appreciate this at all as a regular shopper here. Please address this!

Disappointing! This Sarasota Whole Foods has a quality problem in their produce department.I needed shallots, garlic and some baking supplies. The garlic they had was in bad shape -- I searched through about 50 heads before finding one that didn't have obvious rot or dried out portions or other issues. They didn't have fresh shallots (really? shocking!). I had to ask for help to find shallots -- what they had were pre-peeled shallots packed in packages. Not only were the shallots packaged and peeled -- they were expensive. So, not ideal, but they should have been good -- but NO ... they were disgusting. I had to trim them back and throw away the outer portions, wasting about 50% of each shallot. They were old, slightly oozing, and turning brown (the purple parts that should have been healthy). Such a massive fail on the part of Whole Foods. How easy it would have been to provide regular shallots next to the onions, in their own natural brown skins. But no, they had to go for pre-pealed, packaged and long-since not fresh (actually decaying. If the quality of this produce is any indication, this is a store where you need to be careful about what you buy. So disappointing, so unexpected.Sadly, the produce person their mumbled something about - yeah, that's what we have. These shallots and this garlic should have been pulled -- they shouldn't have been out for sale. Not all was bad in the produce department (there was good fresh thyme, some good apples, etc.), but at Whole Foods I expect consistent high quality, and this just didn't make the grade.

I was staying nearby since I was stranded in Sarasota over the holidays (not a bad place to be). In an effort to make things nice, I stopped by to pick up take out for my birthday/Christmas Eve dinner. Being late to the game, the "sushi" options weren't very plentiful but I picked up a delicious and fresh cucumber and avocado roll. Then for dessert, the delicious WF Almond Cake - if you haven't yet tried this, you must! It's like tiramisu, but almond flavored, not coffee. The whipped cream/custard, the crunchy almond topping, ahhh pure heaven. My description isn't doing it justice, just trust me and try itI did self checkout but there were staff members nearby who asked if I needed anything. Everyone was super friendly and upbeat, even on Christmas Eve. Excellent WF location with parking and great selection.
