We had 2 rooms for 2 couples. Both rooms had a terrible musty odor. In the morning we notified the front desk of our concerns. The front desk employee was very helpful and immediately had the head of housekeeping respond to our rooms. She was very nice and agreed that the rooms had a terrible odor. They switched both of our rooms to suites. The woman at the front desk suggested we speak with the manager the next morning regarding possible compensation My room seemed ok until later that night when we put the ac on. The odor was back and very strong. The other couples room had the same musty odor immediately. The next morning at check out we asked to speak with the manager as suggested. We were told she was not available but had left instructions that no compensation would be granted since they had upgraded our rooms to suites. When we told the employee that the new rooms were no better she said she would speak to the manager and someone would contact us. One week later we have not heard from anyone. I checked other reviews and there seem to be numerous ones with this same complaint. Clearly it is an issue

Very disappointed that when we got into our room that is pet friendly with two small pets, we find out the beds are on platforms and are extra high and one of our pets tried to jump up and hurt her leg. They should not have such high beds for pet friendly rooms. And also for elderly people. Also, the shower pressure is very poor and the water did not get hot at all. The design of the sink is such that water gets everywhere when you wash your hands. Also the toilets so low, especially hard for somebody elderly to get on and off.The breakfast bar was fair and did not interact with the staff much at all.The only good thing is the location and the room was fairly clean.

Good so I recommend. And I will return to the Best Western.

I travel across the Country for work and I have never been disappointed with the best Western Hotel. Until now. The staff at this hotel lacked courtesy empathy, professionalism and any sense of hospitality. This weekend we were traveling for a family wedding. We had to be up and out by 3 AM to meet the timeline. When trying to check in, admittedly, before the 3 PM normal check-in, we were told there was not a single clean room in the entire hotel. We agreed to wait in the lobby area. There was no indicator that the hotel had been fully booked the night before I was particularly booked at this time. After an hour of patiently waiting, I checked again. Still not a single room have been cleaned. When I pressed harder I was told that our specific room had been assigned and definitely was not cleaned. I asked if they could switch our room to the first cleaned room. And they explained they could not. I asked if there was someplace we could change into attire for the rapidly approaching wedding. Again, we received no consideration at all. Just a poor attitude. Another couple came in to check in and were also told they could not. They waited briefly and left. Eventually, I asked to speak to the manager. I was told they were only two people working to clean rooms and the manager had to be located. Eventually, the manager who I believe was named Jennifer came to ask what I needed in a less than welcome or professional tone. She rudely advised me there was nothing they could do for us. They were not willing to change rooms and they were no clean rooms, and they only had two housekeepers working that day again there was no indication at the hotel was fully booked. After an hour and a half of waiting, I was forced to change clothes in the public bathroom. Right after I changed, clothes, a room became available. Again, the lack of hospitality and poor attitude ruined our confidence. Best Western. I hope that management addresses the attitude of the day clerk, and the day manager working on January 6th. I will be sharing my experience with other sites that give reviews and encouraging my professional friends to choose other accommodations in the future. However, we do wish to say that Miss Janet, who worked the morning breakfast shift(17/24), was nothing but warm, professional, and courteous. In a time when the industry is highly competitive, the most important distinguishing factor is true hospitality, in what is supposed to be the "hospitality industry".

Very nice hotel with clean rooms,Linens and up to date technology including flatScreen TVs and lighting fast internet! The onlyDrawback is that the hotel is largely unsecured as it seems anyPersonCan simplyWalk into the lobby, proceed to the elevator snd go to the 3rd floor to participate in a party Involving 80 Proof Alcohol and someIllicit drugs.. as long as they don’t wake their neighbor.. oh, and a faint smellOf marijuana pervades the facilities corridors, breezeways and stairwells. But hey! It’s florida! Everyone is either drunk, stoned or on crystal meth so, at least the BW can say they embrace diversity! I’d totally stay here.. this is a very nice snd decently operatedFacility. I’d totally stay there again...

My wife was having trouble with her back and we ask for an early check in. Jenifer at the front desk told us if we could maybe go to lunch or something she could see what she could do. After being gone for only 20 minutes we returned for her to tell us that we could have the room 3 hours early. Also arranged for the closest room to the door on the first floor so that we could easily take our dog out. While relaxing I read a review that talked about a room that smelled like mold , was dirty and no shower pressure among other complaints. As I read farther it said that is was room 101. Guess what ,we were in 101 ! It was the best room we had stayed in on our way from and back to Michigan. Jennifer and the crew were very friendly and helpful. Thank You for all your help. Maybe someone was having a bad day when they posted that very untrue review. They turned our not so good day around !

I called to help a friend pay for the room they were short on cash. I called specifically told her to only charge 50 on my card. I looked next day was charged 108! When I called about it, the assistant manager says they hadn't paid and someone had to. even tho I was not staying there! And she then admitted to letting them into the room before paying... is it just me or wouldn't this be on her. They had no right to charge me more than double what I agreed to and then do nothing to help resolve the situation... she said I shouldn't have given my card info over the phone like this was somehow my fault! So whatever you do don't give them your card info! It's the managers advice.. they won't be responsible for any extra charges.

This was probably the worst hotel stay we’ve ever had. We got in late and were apparently given the last room available. This was a problem because the room was musty and smelled like a foot. I thought it was crazy that it was full on a Tuesday night, but ok. At this point it was too late to go home and too late to find another place to stay. This was also one of the more expensive places in the area, and we needed to be near the hospital.Anyway, the ptac air conditioner was full of mold & dust (visual inspection of the unit), the room was smelly, the beds were HARD, the shower water pressure was low, the room is moist, I also got glass in my foot..The woman at the front desk was really nice; she gave us a deodorizer/sanitizer spray to help mitigate the odor. But it wasn’t a comfortable stay. We had to leave the door open to air it out after spraying. Please don’t stay in room 101… it’s not good.

We travel to Vero Beach annually. This time we had a late flight in and didn't want to stay at our normal resort because it would cost a lot for the night and we just needed a bed. So we decided to stay at this hotel. We checked in very late at 1:30 AM. We had a king suite room for two people and the room was huge. It had a pull out sofa, two TVs, and a very comfortable king size bed. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I needed to add an extra day on to my vacation. A plus was, but they have free breakfast and they gave us a drink coupon to Captain Hiram's.

The only reason this place gets 1 star is because it doesn't allow a post with 0 stars. I paid extra for a jacuzzi room. The stench in the room was horrible. As I looked around, I found a wad of something brown in one of the jacuzzi drains. I found a bug strip with dead cockroaches behind the mini fridge. I decided I wasn't staying here. as I went to grab my things, including the half a pizza I was going to put in the fridge, there was a mini cockroach in the pizza. it wasn't there before. within 5 minutes, that happened. threw that away outside. I asked for a different room. They did not have another jacuzzi room. Ended up in a suite. It was 11:00 pm because of a delayed flight, so options were limited, and I was prepaid for 3 nights. They didn't offer any discounts for what I encountered. The new room also had the stench. I discovered it was from the AC/ heating unit. The filter was cleaned, so it was far deeper than that. I moved every single thing I could and looked behind for any bugs. Found nothing. There was a piece of red tape and a piece of chex mix. I went back down and told them room would need to be thoroughly vacuumed when I left in the morning. Woke up, took a shower, and the drain was clogged. Told the front desk about that when I left. When I returned, drain was unclogged. They did vacuum, but I know they didn't get behind the nightstand because the red tape was still there. I stayed here 7 previous times here, but never again. This place has gone down hill. And a different time, I tried their sister resort. Saw a cockroach in the hall when we checked out. That place is out too. (Captain Hiram's) Here's 2 photos

I felt like I was in another city (a good thing) and I live in Sebastian. The atmosphere walkin to my room was special different. Catherine s service checking us in was spectacular too. Glad I finally spent the night here.
