“After walking past their location multiple times on multiple visits to town, we finally dropped in and we were so glad we did! What fun! Bird facts, rare birds, a harmonious cacophony of bird songs, and a generally clean and welcoming space. Made all the better that you can visit for free and can walk right in from the beach or pull in for free parking from the road. Would happily pay/donate to drop in and already making plans to return with friends/family next time we are in the area!”
“I recently had the chance to work with Help Us Gather (HUG), and I was really impressed at the amazing work they do for the community! HUG is an amazing organization that focuses on bringing people with disabilities together and making sure everyone feels included.
The team at HUG is fantastic. They really care about the people they serve and always go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and supported. HUG offers a lot of great events that are fun and inclusive for everyone and you can tell that a lot of thought goes into making sure all participants have a good time. It's wonderful to see how happy and confident people are when they get involved with HUG.
I highly recommend Help Us Gather to anyone looking to support a great cause!”
“Excellent presentation of the history of this place - dating back to the arrival of the first Spanish in Tampa Bay at this location at the inland waterway shores astounding local natives with their armor, guns, horses, and large trans-Atlantic sailing ships. They wanted corn for the horses - not themselves. There is much more.. including the tropical vegetation and peacocks!”

“This is the second time that I have worked in the facility for Agency. Extremely pleasant staff starting with the receptionist, unit, managers, evening, supervisors, CNA‘s and fellow nurses. Everyone was so helpful and pleasant. The patient ratio was wonderful. Pleasant and clean facility with all supplies available. If it wasn’t an hour and a half drive from me to the facility , I definitely would work there as staff. Amazing teamwork, and all the residents were pleasant and thankful for Care.”

“Unfortunately I am surrendering my cat because I'm unable to take care of his due to my disability. Roo is such a sweetheart, loving, playful kitty and loves to eat. I'm dropping Roo off September 7 th in the morning and I feel really bad that I have to do this. The person who answered the phone was so nice, warm, kind hearted and very lovely. If you are looking for a perfect cat Roo is Amazing! If someone could possibly scoop him up that would be great! He's an orange cat. I will know more when I get there on Saturday 9/7/2024, but everything is going to go smoothly. Like I said the lady who I spoke to was so kind and understanding. I finally found a place for my cat. If anyone could possibly help out Roo ASAP please adopt him, you definitely are going to be getting a gentle, loving cat who loves attention and food. I am so happy that I found the SPCA to help me out, other places were definitely wrong for Roo. Thank you so much ! Have a fantastic day !?”

“This is an amazing space! It is a beautifully restored building that is pays homage to the past of St. Pete while putting action in place to build a better, healthier, and more inclusive future for the area. I have been there 4 times in the past 2 weeks as a student of the community after having returned to greater Tampa/St. Pete area after a 3 year stay in CA and have gained a wealth of knowledge and an abundance of resources in just those 4 visits.”

“Yesterday I had the most amazing day of my life I've got to meet some of the most amazing people I represent Jesus my grandson was graduating from their life skills program I got to meet a lot of children that were there and their parents to watch so many people care about so many other people they huge giveaway yesterday to watch the people come up and be so excited for the stuff was free tell watch the expression on the people's faces so happy to just give and not expecting anything back it truly was the greatest day of my life since I've moved to Florida I would post the pictures that I took yesterday but without the permission of some of the parents and their children I don't feel right to himself but I can promise you the leaders that run this place there dedication to these children. To refuse to allow these children to become anything other than kings and queen that they deserve today was remarkable”

“The place is great! Just visited there recently this February and the food is of great quality! Delicious options, and some good service. They have many options for breakfast, and especially silverware to use with the food. There are drink flavors to choose from and definitely some restrooms there, a men's room and a women's restroom. This place is clean too! Don't worry about sloppy conditions as this place is always in good condition. I assure you you'll like it here!”
“My father Daniel was a member of the Eagles. I always remember having my Heineken with my dad. Unfortunately he passed away on March of 2015. I believe the last time I was there was 2002 sometime. I remember the fun times.”

“Very nice and sympathetic to my needs. My dog passed during the hurricane when everything was closed for days. I was called back immediately after hours and told to bring my baby in the next day as they were "opening up" even though they actually open to the public. Suntan art center is a community of welcoming artists that make you feel right at home. You can take a class while on vacation or if your a resident try different classes throughout the year.”

The service allowed me to reestablish stability in my mortgage and allowed me to get other household things in order. Covid was a hardship on a lot of families and the service that this agency provide should make no one ashamed to ask for help.”
