“After a really negative experience with another local veterinary clinic that had been sold to a large corporation, which ultimately resulted in my dog being diagnosed with heartworm despite having been on prevention his entire life, I did a lot of research before choosing a new vet. Del Mar was really the only clinic in the area I felt completely comfortable trying. I loved that they were privately owned, and everything I found while researching them gave me confidence that Dude would be in good hands.

It was honestly a little scary walking into a brand new vet with a heartworm diagnosis as our very first experience. I didn’t know the doctors, how the clinic operated, or how they would care for my dog during what was already a really stressful situation. I can now say I’m extremely happy with my decision.

Finding out Dude had heartworm was heartbreaking, but everyone at Del Mar has been wonderful throughout his treatment. They’ve been thorough, caring, communicative, and have made a stressful couple of months as easy as they possibly could.

One of the things that has meant the most to me is seeing how comfortable Dude is there. He’s an anxious dog, and during treatment I’ve had to drop him off several times and leave him in their care for the entire day after his heartworm injections. Every time they bring him out, he’s happy and relaxed, and when we come back for another visit, he walks right in without hesitation. Since I’m obviously not there to see how he’s treated throughout the day, his reaction to being there tells me a lot.

I’m incredibly grateful to have found a privately owned veterinary practice where I feel like my dog is genuinely cared for. This was not how I wanted our relationship with a new vet to begin, but Del Mar has made a very difficult situation so much easier, and I feel completely comfortable trusting them with Dude’s care going forward.”

“Everyone in the office is amazing! My baby got spayed. The veterinarian and her assistant both took their time explaining the whole process. They were really good with my cat. My cat is very selective about who approaches her. She did very well with the surgery and everyone in the office. I was impressed. This is the best animal clinic I have ever been to.”

“We took our 3 year old frenchie, Elsie, to SARVEC and they were great. She was having breathing issues and they cared for her right away. They kept us informed of the cost along the way and let us know everything they were doing with her. They were a lot more reasonable than other emergency vets we used in the past. We would recommend them if you’re having a pet emergency. The staff were friendly and very accommodating.”

“Low on funds and didn't have money to buy my animals food and I reached out and got quick responses. Went up and picked up the supplies (which I'm grateful for) and the staff were friendly and helpful. I have three dogs and one cat, and the supplies given for dogs wasn't enough to feed them but a week and you cannot get food but every two weeks. I think the rule should change given the amount of animals one has to tend for. I don't do this frequently, this is my first time and I just want my animals to not go hungry... Not trying to take advantage bc I additionally don't want anyone else's animals to go hungry. Past that, overall it was a great experience and my family appreciates the hard work and dedication the staff strive towards in our local community.”

“I brought my little dog with big issues in for bloodwork- I told the technician Marcell that he bites. She took him from me and talked to him so softly, I saw him relax. She was able to draw blood AND cut his nails ( which nobody has been able to do). No muzzle. THANK YOU to these well qualified professionals! You are appreciated.

“I’m very grateful to the entire team for taking such good care of my dog, Coco, during an emergency visit. We were very worried because she had eaten raisins, and the staff took us in immediately without making us wait. They were kind, professional, and caring throughout the whole process. They performed the necessary procedure to empty her stomach and found six raisins.

“On December 19, 2025, my 7 yr old Black Lab got into a bag of dark chocolates. Ate the whole bag! They got him in within the hour and got him to expel all of it. After an IV and meds to stop him from throwing up anymore, we were able to take him home. Friendly, professional and very reasonably priced!”

“I had no understanding of the process to register and account, sign up for an appointment date, or how to check in once there. One of the techs scheduled me into the Que that day, as where online it only gave future options. My pet was able to get much needed updated vaccines living in a new state, on unknown land history, with potential for a bite. She was checked for heart worms, and got some new flea and tick treatment. I love this service as they do the best they can to provide affordable care costs for your pets.”
