This place was a disappointment, and had more mold than the bread in my pantry… on top of the smell of marijuana everywhere maybe they should get security to push back the smoking

Rooms were great, service was wonderful but the parking is a pain in the a**. I don't think there's any way around the parking issue due to the lack of space. The fact that we didn't have to drive anywhere all weekend was awesome though!

Stayed in room 2 for 3 nights a very spacious room with a king size bed , seating area & a big bathroom. Can’t beat the location minutes walk from old downtown and St. George’s street . It’s a historic hotel 110 years old so u need to get comfortable with everything that goes with an old building . Room needs lots of upgrades especially since it’s all wood cracked and doors need Maintenace . Management should try harder when it comes to cleanliness of the whole place . Very busy hotel and nice crowd every night .Rooms: Needs lots of upgrades and better cleaningNearby activities: Close to all the actionSafety: Very safeWalkability: Walking distance to all the nice restaurants and st georgesFood & drinks: Breakfast is great and they do have great drinks at night

Charming old hotel in the middle of all that is St. Augustine. I loved the historical, quaint aspects of this place. I've read some of the reviews on here and the funniest was from the woman afraid to walk the 45 second walk from the designated parking to the hotel. Comical! The proximity is amazing. My favorite part?.....the staff. Tia is like a Mother Hen, very protective of her guests and did all she could to make us comfortable. Tough time parking?......yes....it's downtown St. Augustine Historical District for God's sake. Yet, Tia gave me instructions and then said......"If you're having a hard time, call me and I'll come out to help you!" Her advice was invaluable. You get tickets for two fantastic martini's and a full free breakfast in the morning! (Not Continental). Thank you Tia.....our bartender Patrick and our waiter Joe (with the really cool eyeglass frames).......we're coming back. If you like a personal, quaint type of place......try Casablanca! Can't wait to return!

Loved this place. Had a great time. Loved the old style. Right in Old Town St Augustine. Balcony over looking everything. Walk down the outside steps and your right in Old Town. One of the last vacations I took with my mother before she passed. So I'll always have some great memories.

The room was not what I expected. The super small bed, the bathroom with the sink covered, the water tap broken. The air conditioning was super old, dirty and couldn't make more noise because it wasn't bigger. ?♀️ . Nothing like in the photos. The location of the building was very good, but the location of the room they gave me, I felt like I was part of the hotel staff, with the employees coming and going and the unloading area. I hit the edges of the bed several times because it was so uncomfortable. The waitress at the Tiki bar seemed rushed, but the good thing was that the martinis were free. Now the morning waiter for good breakfast. But OMG the cutlery was dirty (I asked for plastic cutlery) and the glasses were also stained. It is a small place for the decoration, the furniture is too big and the layout of the place is crazy. I understand that the decoration is old but it can be improved and kept clean. Super dark place. I never knew where the gardens were.Response to the answers: In the place I booked, it is a very reliable one and it is the one that I have used for many years. In which I have never had problems. I think it doesn't matter where you make the reservation. If the room is dirty or has many defects, the booking place will not fix anything. A good remodeling and cleaning, yes. The booking location has nothing to do with the cleanliness and condition of the rooms.

Great place to stay when visiting St. Augustine. The inn is actually three buildings. The middle photo shows the Secret Garden as it is called. There also is a café that serves breakfast and lunch. But the inn is most famous for the Tini Martini Bar. The photo shows the bar before it opens in the morning. But the café/bar are packed in the evenings with long lines waiting to get in. If you go, go around back via Charlotte Street and go in by the inn door. No waiting. Our room was a small suite and was great. Shower was wonderful. Hotel, café and bar staff are friendly and really hustle. Fun folks. The hotel is less than a block away from a trolley tour stop. Hard to beat and competitively priced for the area. Parking everywhere in the tourist district is a mess but we survived. The hotel does have some nearby reserved spaces.

The good outweighed the bad just slightly. The good: LOCATION, staff friendliness, free martini and breakfast each day - in that order. The bad: shower was the absolute worst I’ve ever used, bed was lumpy, and poor aesthetics. The place has been run through. The owners have zero pride of ownership evident by the atrocious condition of the decor and quality of the renovations. It is entirely possible we got the worst room they had. I would rather not stay here again. The easy location was the best part. Cleanliness was subpar - many months or years have passed since they cleaned behind anything. We were disappointed in the room, but made the best of it.Walkability: Perfect location.Food & drinks: Free breakfast and nightly martini was good.
