If you want horrible service and owners that don’t care about anyone but themselves plus horribleyoutdated and extremely expensive products that are sometimes expired go here! They say they bake in bread in house, lol, it’s frozen and heated up! Fish and shrimp are frozen as well, never fresh ! Organic chicken? lol it’comes in a box ! Nothing is fresh, it’s all comes in frozen

Poor customer service at the meat counter. It was busy and there appeared to be no orderly method to serving customers. No one acknowledged us. Many steaks in the display case weren't looking fresh. Decent selection of non-meat specialty items though.

Lately service is indifferent. I was there today. The guy behind the counter was waiting on another customer. He never looked up, said hello or I’ll be right with you. I walked around and nobody paid any attention to me. After five minutes, the owner came out from a side room. Said nothing. I finally left. Ann who used to work there was very good. The meats are good but there’s a complete lack of customer service.

Well, the store has a wide variety of high-end groceries and is convenient on the island, I have to give it three stars for the customer service. Similar to other reviewers, I felt like an inconvenience in the empty store, and the atmosphere was uncomfortable rather than being welcoming and helpful. They do have a nice selection of meat and prepared foods, so giving three stars for the selection and quality of what they carry.

I am giving a 2-star for the shopkeeper’s indifference and lack of service. We were excited to try this store but left disappointed.
My son and I visited this Fresh Market at the recommendation of a trusted AirBnb owner in the area from whom we have rented in the past. Consistent with the Sparky Tuna experience, we too were treated like we were wasting their time and being an inconvenience while in their empty store. My son and I were the only ones in the shop and were never acknowledged by the man or woman working, never asked if we had any questions, never offered any help (except for a short answer to one question about the cheese), and the man acted as though it was an inconvenience when I asked him to cut two $44/lb grass-fed filets and a wedge of $31/lb Cambozola cheese.
It is expensive but they do have unique products and I don't mind spending the money on a high-quality cut of meat or a unique cheese. Both the cheese and the steak were outstanding, and my son even said it was the best cheese he had ever had!!! But dang, when my 19-year-old son gets in the car, looks over at me, and asks “what did you think about the service?” ….you may want to consider being a bit more welcoming. Expensive I can deal with, however expensive and indifferent to the customer are not a not a good combination. A better focus on the customer and customer service required. One and done for us. Back to the Chop Shop!!

Really good selection of fresh and locally produced groceries. The bread is awesome! I see many complaints about their prices. It’s difficult to understand just how expensive it is to run a local market when you’re competing with giants like Publix, WD, and Whole Foods that have enormous bulk buying power which gives them the leverage to get better prices from suppliers. This is not a privilege that’s available to local market owners. It’s not easy!!!That’s why I avoid complaining of the higher prices at locally owned markets… it’s just not a level play field for these guys.One complaint that I do have, and it’s rather significant, is the attitude of the gentleman who is the owner. Every time I’ve been here and have had to interact with him it’s been a negative experience. He’s short in his temperament and makes customers feel as if they are a nuisance. I wasn’t going to mention this until he treated my elderly mother disrespectfully recently when she was there to the extent that she made a point to tell me about it over breakfast. Almost every person that I’ve spoken to that has been to this place has a similar experience. From my view, he doesn’t necessarily treat people with disrespect deliberately however it’s clear that no effort is made to be pleasant or even respectful toward his customers. It’s clear that he’s not much of a people person and this sentiment is further reinforced based on some of the responses to the more critical reviews on google that he’s not very receptive to criticism.A pretty unpleasant characteristic of an otherwise very nice local market that has a ton of wonderful products and food.

Sent my girlfriend over for a gift card. Owners treated her bad like she was wasting there time. My girlfriend chalked it up to it being Xmas season. Gave the gift card to my parents for Xmas and they just went over to get some meat. Once again very rude and acting like they where wasting there time. I am a VP here in town and deal with the public daily. This was completely uncalled for and I will never go back or recommend this place.Update.. It was not today. It was sunday that my parent's went over. Great response by the way.
