Worst experience anyone could have. Although they were very polite, they lied to our face, gave two different estimates, inflated the estimate in order to total the vehicle. Run don’t walk away from bring your car there. Find a different honest location. They are terrible. They wanted to total a car for a fender bender. Consider yourself warned.

This place is awesome! They are very thorough in their explanations (especially Kelley up front) of what is to be done and a thorough inspection and an appropriate estimate of how long for repairs was given by Adam. I didn't feel like they were out to upcharge me and in a very stressful time they made things much easier by having a rental ready and waiting, and Adam my technician is updating me of progress often. Will only go here for any repairs!

If you need extra work and to do it for free, I’d suggest this location. My car sat in their area for 6 days before a part was even ordered. I called 1 week in to check on estimated repair date, they said part was on order but they would call, expected to be done in 1 week. I called 1 week later to see if my car was done, no answer. I called at 8a.m, 9 a.m and no answer! I called the gerber on Dobbs street and the guy said they are open. I went there and asked if it was done, they said the part was still on order. I asked where they ordered it from, do I need to go pick it up? A very lazy tall man said it would help if I called Daytona Kia. I did and stayed there. They needed info so I was the go between, til I finally asked them to speak to Daytona kia!
They couldn’t find the order, that’s when I found out it wasn’t even ordered til 6 days later. We left it that Kia would call them with the part status. Turns out it was mismarked. If I had left it up to gerber, my car would have been there indefinitely. I was there for over an hour dealing with where the part is. When I finally picked up my car two days later, they forgot to grease the moon roof, it sounded like it was crunching glass, that was another hour or more. I did not get paid for my time. There were 4 people in The front office, they did get paid! If you want to donate your time, I’d give it to a more worthy organization! I still had to pay them my full copay! Stay away!

Eagle eye at check in and beer goggles at delivery.
After an accident caused by a teen running a red turn signal into my 2011 GMC Denali (garage kept , 50 K miles). With the recommendation of State Farm I took my vehicle to Gerber Collision Center on SR 16 Saint Augustine Fl.
The first time I picked it up I found after close inspection at home that the replacement bumper had a dent in it and the passenger side was not buffed out properly. I bought it back for a new inspection. The same person that was spotting every little scratch at check in said they could not see a problem until I pointed out the dent and buffing problem. She told me that they would need to remove the bumper to repair the new problem, I told her to keep it until they got it right and a driver returned me home.
Now that I have it back for the second time it is sort of OK. The new paint could have been buffed better. The headlights are pushed up to touching the fenders at the bottom corner (no room for expansion). One of the grade 9 nuts and bolts for the front bull bar has been replaced with a smaller cheaper bolt and nut. I see a few of the plastic push fasteners are missing or are the wrong size. If I were an expert I am sure I could find more problems but what about the ones I don’t see?
This is the part that upsets me the most. When they returned my SUV the SD card for my dash cam was not locked into the camera. I put it back in but the next day I pulled it out and reviewed the clips. Someone at Gerber has removed and deleted clips just before I bought it back for the second time and all the time while back for repair except for a 20 second clip of them tampering with the camera. I now have removed the card and working on recovering the deleted files. Those clips are my personal property and I consider this theft.
Update - 11/16/2024
After reading Gerber's reply, no one from Gerber has contacted me.
My sister had some work done there also recently and after close inspection I found they did not install her front bumper correctly, now I have to take this vehicle back to be fixed again. What happen to doing the job right the first time?

Last Friday I took my vehicle to Gerber Collision on Rt.16 to get an estimate on paint damage to the front of my car which was caused by another party. They took the vehicle in for an evaluation and came out to say they were going to take care of it if could stay a little longer. I was only expecting an estimate but was able to wait. They spent about 45 minutes altogether and repaired the damage which they said I could not have done on my own (plus washed the entire car) without charge! Who does this kind of thing today?! Apparently Gerber Collision and Glass on Rt. 16 in St. Augustine does. I am so appreciative and thankful, and the party responsible for the damage should be grateful as well! Thank you Adam Fisher, Estimator, and the entire team at Gerber Collision for your extreme generosity!!!

This was our second time using Gerber Collision. Adam Fisher was our estimator. Adam was professional and helped relieve our stress by reaching out to the insurance company directly as we were not getting timely responses from the other drivers insurance company. Gerber Collision did excellent work as they did on our previous visit. I hope I don’t need anymore collision repairs. But if I do I will be reaching out to Gerber Collision again. Thanks you!!!

Very dishonest, after fixing the front bumper and replacing the raidiator their techs left the radiator hose clamp off and it blew the head gasket. To make it worse they told my insurance it was not them so my insurance totaled my car. Would not recommend them for anything

I only have praise for the way I was received at Gerber. Mrs. Robin was very nice and helpful from the beginning. She welcomed my son and I with a smile. We had to wait for a while but it was ok, for we had a funny conversation. Later we had the pleasure to meet Denesha, who was very pleasant as well. She checked the car, and with a smile said she would return our estimate asap. The job was done well, and I would recommend Gerber and use their service again as well. Both ladies were very kind and helpful- they are outstanding employees who deserve a raise.?

Had an exceptional experience here from the first call to schedule with Randi until the pick up of my repaired vehicle orchestrated by DaNesha and the rest of the crew
I couldn’t praise this company’s service, workmanship and its employees enough- the experience was exemplary and they repaired my vehicle ahead of schedule which was an even greater bonus!!
Not hoping for any more fender benders…but should you ever have one, this is a place I’d highly recommend
