“I signed up for the resin ornament class. Jamie was well organized and had plenty of embellishments to make any kind of ornament. She offered different types of molds and allowed the participants to be creative. I was so pleased at how my ornaments turned out! You will definitely have some fun and learn a lot at one of Jamie's classes.”

“Came here for a wonderful exhibit by our friend Babette. Her unusual creations from small to large have been popular as gifts for friends. Her choice of colors is wonderful: Muted tones of otherwise primary colors.”

“I have always had a wonderful experience at this museum, it has a vast number of art galleries and the staff is so kind here. The art work is very beautiful and you can clearly tell how much love has gone into this museum. I would definitely recommend this art museum to anyone who is looking for something fun to do in the city. This is definitely one of my favorite art museums that I’ve ever been to.”

“Had a fantastic experience with me and my wife getting tattoos at Black Amethyst today. Booking the appointment was very easy and they were extremely quick to respond. Dimitri was our artist and he does incredible work. His skill is fantastic and he is very gentle, friendly, sanitary, and awesome. Would absolutely recommend anyone visit this shop for your next tattoo and visit Dimitri.”

“Shop has a neat selection at fairly good prices, masc shop attendant was incredibly friendly and helpful! Beautiful displays and arrangements. Blonde mid 50’s woman was passive aggressive our entire stay. Went out of her way to stare and make comments. Struck me as really odd considering, ended up putting back 90% of what I was looking at over her attitude/demeanor towards us. Would still try again though!”

“Artissin is the only spot for spray paint, period. Austin has the best selection of colors, sheens, and other products at prices you won't find anywhere else, and he provides great customer service to top it off. An honest business that does great things for the community. As a bonus, there's a 9/10 chance you will meet other artists from all over while resupplying here since there is no other shop like it in Florida. One of the greats ??”

“Really great glass blowing demonstration by the guys in the studio. Fascinating to learn about their art and process! I would have given it five stars except for the attitude of the ladies in the studio store. Wonderful collection and purchase options but their sales approach and attitude was cold and not helpful. I also thought they were quite dismissive of the more elderly customers that day we were there. Outside of this customer approach it’s a wonderful location and experience”

“Don’t let the size fool you. It’s always filled with art and lively performances. From plays, poetry, yoga, dance, etc. Bob Devin Jones created a space for artists and still have them.”

“I contacted Harriet about a Squash Blossom Navajo Necklace that a cousin just gifted to me. I wanted to know all about it's possible age, the markings on the back and how to care for it. She was so helpful and a delightful person to talk with about my beautiful new necklace. She even took the time to research on line for me. What a great shop and another "Gem" for our City.”

“Wonderful gallery. In addition to the pieces displayed in the gallery itself, be sure to check out the artists and their collections on the beautifully curated website. Phenomenal service as well, from arranging to view pieces that we were interested in to purchase and delivery. Highly recommend.”

“Vladamir was very kind to fix a simple piece of jewelry of mine for free! His store is an interesting mix of Russian cultural pieces and hand made art and jewelry. Lots of cool matryoshka doll sets. Will return when I have more time to shop around.”

“Came for the glass blowing demo not knowing what to expect, but I was BLOWN away (pun intended)!! The experience was super informative while still being so much fun to just sit back and watch. The store front has many beautiful pieces for sale as well.”

“We did the date night class and it was the perfect alternative to our norm of dinner and drinks (although you can bring your own!).Bella was our instructor and not only did she really know her stuff, she also had the patience of a saint. Someone please give this woman a raise! This was a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere which helped because we were all newbies. A fun and different experience that I would highly recommend!!”

“I checked out SaltLight ART today after I was thrift shopping. This place is great for gifts, and cute classy hippie styles. I didn't intend on shopping really just came into browse and found several things I really enjoyed. The gal working today might have been the sweetest, and the best customer service I've had in a long time. I also heard her mention that the owner is a local artist and hand makes the jewelry sold in the store, so I had to get a necklace. Great prices on jeans and tops. Definitely check out!”

“They have such a variety of art. All unique and impactful. It looked like everything there is for purchase, and you can also donate to their programs. There's also lots of little trinkets you can buy if you're not interested in a larger piece.”

“Literally typing this up as we leave the parking lot after our group workshop! This was such an amazing experience, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun family trip or date night. The guys were so friendly and accommodating. My cousin and I did the glass blowing with David, who was just wonderful (and very patient with us)! He explained every step of the process as we went through them, which was pretty cool so we could understand exactly what we were doing and why. My Mom and Dad loved Josh who helped them with their wine glasses! Even though the shop is well ventilated it can get pretty hot when you’re next to the flame, so I recommend wearing something light. Josh offered us water bottles before we left, which was so kind and much appreciated! We will definitely be back and with some friends! Thank you guys for the experience! :)”

“gorgeous space! theres thoasands of beautiful items to oggle at and its difficult not to buy it all. there are a lot of locked cases so it can be kind of awkward if you want a large selection of things, but its understandable because the place is so huge it would be very difficult to deter shoplifting otherwise. nevertheless this is the best antique store i have ever been to and every visit makes my day”

“This is an awesome shopping stop filled with local artisans ware including a coffee shop and a large selection of Belgium chocolates. It takes a while to look over everything. There is seating outside for those who do not want to peruse the shop. Check open times because I read reviews that said they were not open when they went. Paid parking on the street or a parking garage is nearby. A definite must stop to see these amazing shops on a historic building.”

“There is no negating that this museum is stunning! I absolutely love colored glass and I was mesmerized! I took my mother here for her birthday and she loved it, too. The collection is massive, and I was in awe on the beauty, size, and hard work that it took (there is a video you can watch) for Mr. Chihuly to create these wonders. I wish I could take one home. Speaking of taking one home, there is a gift shop at the end that you can purchase a small piece of colored glass. However, the prices are a bit high. One small red rose bud of glass was $40! The other thing is I wish the walkthrough was bigger. We were in and out of the museum in under 1 hour. Yes, you can stay longer and take even more photos, but we did want to see the live glass blowing demonstration. We ultimately, couldn't stay for the live glass blowing demonstration sadly because it was lunch time and we had other plans that we weren't going to return to St. Pete the same day. The live glass blowing demonstration is almost every hour the same day that is included with your admission ticket. Parking was difficult especially since I had to find a handicap spot.”

“My husband and I recently found ourselves making an unscheduled stop in St. Petersburg, FL for a day. We had just arrived from Chicago late the previous night. We didn't know anything about St. Petersburg, but figured the Visitors Center was the best place to begin. We were not disappointed! The staff was very welcoming, even offering to place our luggage in a secure spot. We were advised to take the tour bus around the city to get oriented. We did take the bus, but also did quite a bit of walking as the weather was beautiful. We took in the sights at The St. Pete Pier, and had a wonderful meal at Fresco's Waterfront Bistro. Many thanks to Shelli, Visitors Center manager, for helping us make the most of our brief time in St. Petersburg. So many things to see and do there. We wish we could've stayed longer!”
