Parc Center for Disabilities is a progressive leader in caring for and serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Pinellas County, Florida, with a seventy-year history. The organization provides a wonderful and great service to the community, going above and beyond to meet a great need. Its mission is to provide opportunities for children and adults with developmental disabilities to exercise their independence and experience life to the fullest, with a vision of a community where all individuals live with dignity and are treated with respect. The scope of services is amazing, offering participants exceptional experiences each and every day. This includes adult community programs with housing locations similar to college dorms, where residents have private rooms and share common spaces. A chef prepares meals daily in a main kitchen. The organization provides opportunities that are both fun and help individuals grow mentally, making them feel a part of society. Participants are continuously challenged and evaluated, offering new adventures and a chance to grow into adulthood. The staff is pleasant, caring, engaging, helpful, compassionate, and professional. Team members are valued, supported, rewarded, and have fun. Leadership exudes professionalism and trust, providing reassuring and calm guidance. The environment is a safe place for loved ones to grow, learn, and belong, making families feel at home and excited. Participants themselves are excited and love being there, often showing significant personal growth in a short time. The impact Parc has had in the community over the past decades speaks for itself, making it a highly-rated resource. Parc Center for Disabilities is such a wonderful place. It provides such a great service to those in the community with developmental disabilities. It also amazing at the scope at which they provide these services. The need is so great and Parc Center for Disabilities goes above and beyond to meet this need.
