“5 Stars to let you know it’s at LEAST a NEGATIVE FIVE STAR BUSINESS!

Do not stop here. While passing through I stopped in trying to support mom & pop type businesses; as you can tell this is a smaller Food Mart | BP gas station and looks independently owned verses the big name travel shops near the highway. I went in to use the restroom before hoping to buy some fried or boiled peanuts, drinks, possibly souvenirs.

While the immediate conditions of the restroom were deeply concerning. I had to use the facilities. The power tripped and the bathroom went pitch black. Thankfully I had my phone. I pulled it out to wash my hands and with absolutely no clean area to sit my phone down I dropped it. Completely shattering my month old IPhone 16 pro max. Ugh. Very frustrating. As I opened the door the power turned back on. There were owners or employees unloading a vehicle with chips, jars of pickles, boxes of food items. No one apologized for the power being tripped or bothered to acknowledge me in any way. But they did laugh while I told my husband how awfully filthy the place was and how I broke my new $1,400 phone. I found that pretty rude. It was a lady and an elderly man loading things into the store.

Not related to my phone, the power tripping, or the people behavior. I would recommend an immediate inspection before an electrical issue burns the place down or causes someone to get hurt wondering around in there. I would also recommend not eating anything stored, or made there due to the extremely filthy environment. I also would caution pumping gas as I watched a car filing up get gasoline sprayed out at them as the pump handle appeared to not kick off. Also signs said EBT wasn’t currently working (we don’t receive EBT) however if that’s what you use they are not taking it there. I could only wonder if that’s because they don’t have a state accepted accountant to turn over monthly financials. All in all I simply suggest you stop somewhere else with business owners who appreciate your business enough to deserve it and who take pride in keeping a clean, safe environment for you to support them. “Well it's a gas station. Didn't checkout the restroom but I'm sure they're up to gas station quality. The selection of gas was top notch and the candy bars were to drool over. The beer assortment lived up to gas station standards. And of course, I drove off complaining about the price of gas. Overall, me and my car would highly recommend this place.”
