“I enjoy this Dollar Tree location. This store does not seem to crowded or messy. It has a quietness unlike the other Dollar Tree locations I have visited throughout Tallahassee. There are certain items I normally buy from Dollar Tree, such as cleaning supplies, batteries, and holiday decorations. The savings add up, even cheaper than Walmart. The employees greet customers as we walk in, overall my favorite location.”

    4 Good 48 reviews

“So let me start with I don't shop at family Dollar and I'm not very familiar with it but recently have had to start shopping at family Dollar due to work purposes. So I just want to say it was so nice and refreshing to have two employees that were one pleasant to helpful three actually spoke and four went above and beyond their normal calls of work duties. So manager listen up, the two ladies that worked today at this this store on 1/11/25 during the opening shift. You need to let them know that they are amazing employees make sure you hold on to them and I would suggest giving them a raise because if not I might come snatch them. And thank you very much to both of y'all today for your help cuz I was lost without y'all.”

  12. Dollar General - 7601 Blountstown Highway

7601 Blountstown Highway, Tallahassee FL 32310

    4.2 Good 22 reviews

“Overall, this Dollar General is a convenient and decent place to shop. The store usually has a good selection of everyday items at affordable prices, and it’s easy to get in and out quickly. Some staff members are friendly and helpful, which makes the experience better. However, there are a few issues that bring it down from a full 5 stars. Pricing inconsistencies can be frustrating especially when items ring up differently than advertised and it’s disappointing when that isn’t honored. Customer service can also be hit or miss depending on the day, and the store can sometimes feel understocked or a bit unorganized.”

    3.8 Good 58 reviews

“I just went to the Dollar General next to Tuesday Morning on Thomasville Road and had the most wonderful experience. Two staff members were readily available to help me find what I was looking for. Dino walked me to the aisle where he thought I could find a magnifying glass for one of the homeless veterans I serve. There were none on the shelf so Dino walked me to the back of the store, where I assumed he was checking the inventory. He came out and handed me HIS magnifying glass! He said he had another one and that I could take his to my veteran friend. It was such an awesome thing for him to do, a small thing that made all the difference in the world to me today and will really touch the man I will be giving the magnifying glass to. Thank you Dino and the sweet woman at the cash register who was just as kind and helpful!”

  16. Goodwill - 2551 West Pensacola Street

2551 West Pensacola Street, Tallahassee FL 32304

    3.7 Good 146 reviews

“I'm not a customer at the Goodwill store, but someone who is about to do court-ordered community service with them, after I threw a cookie at my former manager and was charged with battery. Goodwill is unique in the sense that it treats all its customers with dignity and respect. Meanwhile, a lot of businesses and establishments on West Pensacola St. are extremely rough around the edges. It makes me feel like a cowboy in one of those Westerns where everybody at the saloon stops what they're doing and glares at you. The Kearney Center, next-door (where I also am trying to do community service) can feel hostile and extremely uncomfortable. Goodwill is nice, friendly, and the people aren't brooding, rude, or passive-aggressive. It stands out, because it's one of the few places on West Pensacola, where you feel like you can put your guard down and actually relax. Definitely will shop there once I've finished my community service.”
