I came into the store expecting a difficult search for the proper replacements. Daryll one of the employees helped me find the correct ones and checked to make sure the threads and the length were correct. Great experience”

They verified inventory after promptly and politely answering the phone. We even learned which aisle to go to! The store was clean and well stocked with interesting and unique merchandise. “Nice folks. I bought a belt and blades from them last week. The belt broke within 30 minutes, called them and without asking to SEE the belt the associate assured me it was my spindle and told me they would not replace the belt. The spindles all turn freely, the blades do not shake, but he knew they were the problem. I won't be back.Edit!Alex and I spoke and a refund was issued. While neither of us is sure why the belt broke, his ability to handle the situation was awesome and professional. His attitude alone warrants me giving my business back to them. Thank you, Alex, for taking the time to be more than fair.”

“Needed a part for my central heating system. I didn't have the part number . Didn't even know what the part was called. They did some footwork and got a part number. Unfortunately, it wouldn't ship for over a week so they suggested another supplier and that supplier was able to get it to me overnight.
It says so much about a company and its people when they genuinely put the customer first.”

“After neighbors behind us re-routed their rain run off into our back yard we lost all of our grass and our yard became a standing water pond. “They have enough employees and that's a good thing. Being a contractor for the better part of a decade, Lowe's and Home Depot have both shifted their target audience from independent contractors to home owners. Again, not the end of the world but the days when I could pull my trailer close to enough to the door so the forklift could load a pallet of concrete or drywall on the trailer are long gone. I love the holidays, but I think they kind of overdo it. Obviously it brings a profit or they'd quit doing gimmicks like that. No wonder I can't find an associate when I need one. I do like the handheld devices being implemented. I don't expect every associate to know where everything is at and be knowledgeable on the subject. It's easier for them to show you to the isle and give you the specs on different tools/etc even if that's not their specialty. (B-) Employees are equipped with better tools that help stock and locate items IF management doesn't have them stringing lights in the parking lot. The biggest reason for the B- is that they're trying to transition to a big boss store that happens to have wood. They have basic materials but I can tell they've reduced construction inventory for more room for a few inflatable Santas??♂️”

“I miss the days of us old guys being able to get in, get what we need and get out. Sadly HD caters to folks who have no idea of what a left handed Phillips head screw driver is. FYI there is no such thing. So it is. You can still find what you need but you have to negotiate all the people walking around like a teenage boy visiting a nudest colony for the first time. You also will have to spend way too much time sorting out what is and what is not where it is supposed to be. Things like PVC fittings are the one that really annoys me. But, HD appears to not want to hire anyone and a lot of the ones they hire are as lazy as a hound in July. I would say the vast majority of the employees are great and very busy if you know the 90/10 rule then you get it. I still go and still spend way too much $ there but I still see what is going on. So please, do your prep work, leave your dogs at home have a good idea of what you want before you arrive. I highly suggest using their website and print out what you want and where that is. That way you will be in and out that much faster.”

“This ace hardware has everything. I asked about the new Simpson hurricane screws 6 and 4.5 inch orange and black. They didn't have, but immediately ordered four boxes, and matched the home depot store delivery. That means you would have to pay an order them and they would arrive a few days later. Ace will have them in stock around the same price. Excellent costumer attention.”
