“We decided to try The Boozy Pig for lunch today. The minute we walked in we liked this place. The Boozy Pig is a restaurant/butcher shop. They sell their own meats you can purchase at their butcher shop connected to the restaurant. We were quickly seated and served. I tried their cappuccino and really enjoyed it, they serve local coffee from a coffee roaster in Ybor which I love! We both tried their ‘Knuckle Snagwich’ and thoroughly enjoyed them. It was packed with flavor and juicy. One sandwich is big enough to share with two. We added a side of their fries which were delicious. We’d love to come again to buy some of their meats and try their breakfast. Highly recommend. The store is simply decorated, their focus is good food which I love! “This business is located amongst warehouses, and shopping here is not your normal meat market experience, but rest assured, you be getting quality product. They basically are a high end wholesale meat distributor that also sells to the public, so you don't go inside and shop around. You go on their website and place your order, and pick it up the following day, between 6am and 3pm. I usually purchase Duroc pork butt and Duroc pork belly, a breed around for a couple hundred years with high quality reddish meat, not pale. They have beef, poultry, seafood, cheese, and various other products as well. Check out what they have on their website.”

Getting of work at 5:00, when I get there I feel I have to rush into buying what I need. So when I go there I try to have my list of needed items ready. I would recommend. “Clean atmosphere and surroundings, despite the neighborhood, being low income, filled with drugs and homelessness. Prices are higher than those of larger chain stores. However, they offer ethical items that are not widely available. The staff is friendly and happy to serve regardless of the language barrier. “Though I live an hour away I love coming here. Been doing so for years. I bring my 88 year old mother and we go shopping, The palomilla steaks are outstanding and always made just right. Ask for the extras left and you have great pieces for stew. The bacon wrapped filets are also great and at best price i have ever found. We also get all of our spices, chorizo and ham. There is always a wine to find and bite to eat if you are hungry. Best of al the service is always warm and helpful. I just wish I lived closer.”

“I visit once a month. I buy picanha and ox-tail in bulk (monthly personal use)The meats are good and well priced which keeps me coming back. And of course makes me want to buy other Brasilian treats, breads etc.The market has a homemade Brasilian food by the pound eatery which is delicious and well priced. My only constructive criticism is to upgrade the salgados! The coxinha is sub-par, nothing like the ones I’ve had in Brasil. But overall 4.5 stars , tudo bom!”

“Before spanish colmados started popping up like mushrooms in a wet pasture, many years ago this place was my go to for latino products. Two decades later, there is just one thing I come for, whole goat leg.Nothing much has changed here. A small very crowded (with product) market with small aisles that houses all the basic essentials for latin american ciusine. A butcher shop provides fresh chicken, beef and pork. Most all other products like rabbit, seafood, goat and lamb are sold frozen. An aisle with fresh vegetables and fruit and the entire back and one side offer refrigerated drinks and various other sundries.Located on W. Waters Ave. and Manhattan the shop is a cornerstone to a 2 level plaza (strip center). Here as long as I can remember it seems like it's caught in time and looks exactly the same.”
