I rented the car for a month. I ended up getting very sick and was not able to return on the day due. Spoke to the manager and all he said was "well that's why we have contracts so you know when to bring it back" I told him how am I supposed to know that I'm going to end up being very sick or I'm incapacitated where I cannot drive the car back he said there's nothing he can do. It's due back that day. He was very sarcastic and unhelpful. The worst customer service.

Car worked fine, process was pretty smooth, but the car was anything but clean inside. Windshield had a gross film inside the passenger side, the carpet and upholstery hadn't been vacuumed recently, and side mirrors were so water-spotted, they were difficult to see out of. The shuttle driver, however, was fantastic, and could not have been nicer.

Can it go lower? We waited nearly 2 hours to pick up our car at the WPB location. There was almost 0 staff working at noon on a Monday.The car received was filthy. Stains everywhere. I needed to shower after being in the car. The car was also in disrepair. It had difficulty the entire time we rented.Last but not least, for the second time now, budget overcharged for gas. I had to dispute the charge. Prepaid for the fuel option at a fair price per gallon, but was still charged for a full tank upon return. Rip off.

The shuttle bus was waiting for me, it was nice having a friendly driver. When I arrived there was a line stretching to the door. Only two people were serving customers. I waited over an hour in the crawling line. One counter person needed to leave to an appointment. The single attendant called his manager and informed them he couldn’t serve all the people in line and they better have some help as the line behind me was just as full. Waiting as long as one of my flights was irritating. I will question using Budget at this location again. I was directed to the wrong Chevrolet Pacifica, a new model. I was leaving and then politely informed I needed to turn around as I had the wrong van.. I searched the lot with bill in hand for another 15 minutes for the correct vehicle. The rental mini van assigned to me had over 50,000 miles and showed its age. Returning the van was easy, but I was not offered a return receipt. This bothered me as it didn’t show I’d returned with no damage and a full tank of gas. They apparently only give recipes to business customers.

We arrived at 10 at night and there was one person working and over 20 people online. I felt really bad for him. Then another 40 people arrived online behind us. We had to wait almost two hours to get to the counter. They ran out of cars and only had electric cars (that weren't even charged). We had two golf bags and I ordered a truck. They said they had one and gave us the spot number and when we got there, there wasn't one in the spot. We then went inside and found the manager, Chris, who was very friendly and helpful. It was almost midnight now. He found us a truck but it smelled sooo bad of weed and cigarettes. We took it because we had no choice. Budget needs to hire more staff and not over book car rentals.

Upon entering the vehicle, there was stains on the driver seat and garbage still in the car from previous renter. As we were leaving the lot, the attendant could care less to assist us. I asked what is the procedure for checking out the car for damage (dents,scratches) and anything wrong inside. He said why did you wait until now, there’s people behind you wanting to leave pull out…. On the positive note, the return process was very quick and easy. We parked left the keys in the car and walked over to wait in line for the shuttle to take us to the airport. I was so surprised that I went inside and the attendant said yea sir that’s all, have a nice day.

Rented a Toyota Corolla that broke down within 3 days of renting it — took them 4.5 HOURS to get the tow out and told me that if they found that the car was damaged as a result of me doing something, I’d be charged for it (even though it was all mechanical stuff going on). They then texted me 3 days after towing it that the rental was overdue and that I’d be charged and THEN when I was charged, they charged me for not filling up the gas tank when I couldn't have since it broke down on me. LOL worst experience.

Stay away. They rip off disabled vets. I neither needed ur wanted their toll pass and was charged over $25 upon returning the car. On 9/11 no less by an employee named Mohammad.

After having issues with other cheap car rentals, I decided to upgrade to a reputable car rental option.. What a mistake. Our 4 day trip was plagued with issues. Our car made it from the airport to our condo we were staying at. The next morning we woke up at 5AM for an excursion we could not miss. Car wouldn't start. Battery was dead. (100% not our fault per the technician that looked over the car.) We were lucky to find an Uber to get us there. We got a technician out to charge the car that night. We had the car run for an hour to fully charge the battery. After turning the car off and trying to restart it after we went to dinner, dead again. Battery is clearly bad. We were told a new car would be there in 4-6 hours because they don't have a system in place for someone to just come out and change the battery. A $100 battery is now costing the company hundreds in towing, ruined days of our trip, and still is going to cost the $100 for a working battery. Stayed up until the 6 hour mark which was midnight and no car, no phone call, nothing. the next day we finally received a car after missing our morning (non refundable) fishing trip we planned. New car worked great but the trip was essentially over. the total of a 4 day trip we had a working car to drive to and from the airport and dinner 1 night, had to walk to the closest place the other times. Such a disappointment. Lost out on uber fees and fishing excursions. Not to mention the indirect costs as well, fishing license, eating places we didn't necessary want to go, etc. 1300 miles away from home on vacation and we spent Hours and hours and hours dealing with people on the phone and begging them to get us a new car as fast as possible. Honest question, what would happen if we were broke down on the side of the road? Seemed like there was Zero rush for anyone to help. All "solutions" provided for us was to go on our excursions using Uber and come back when we have a car on the way. For example a fishing trip we had planned on a guided trip an hour away from the condo doesn't allow us to baby sit the car and go on the trip. Budget needs to have something in place at all times to get someone a replacement car ASAP, not just went normal hours are set up. being in south florida were there is a budget on essentially every corner, you would think it would have taken less than 30 some hours to get a replacement. I would love for someone to contact me from budget because i truly believe i am owed a full reimbursement. As someone who rents multiple multiple cars each year, I am hoping they make this right or we will be trying a different company yet again.

The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. I believe his name was Eddie. Great employee. I rented a full size pickup and he got it to me promptly. But that was the end of my pleasant experience. Upon getting into the pickup and inspecting it was filthy! Do you guys even clean or sanitize those cars??? It reeked of cigarette smoke and the seats and cup holders had ashes on and in them! On top of that the bed of the pickup truck had used cans, bottles, cigarettes packs and buds thrown in the back. Oh yeah and a BABY STROLLER. I’ve never seen such a lack and inconsiderate nature toward ensuring a costumer has a pleasant experience with respect to the condition of a car. Lastly upon returning the car, there was nobody to be found in the lot to assist me. Luckily I’ve rent from you before so I know I could shut it off, leave the key and walk away. But if it was first time I would have no idea what to do. But no worries after this experience I’ll be sure never to rent from Budget again! Because why would I want to inhale cigarettes fumes for the duration of my rental and rent from a company that CLEARLY doesn’t care about make sure the cars get cleaned and sanitized in between renters. Absolutely ridiculous

I have rented many cars over the years and have never experienced what I experienced here. We requested an economy car and they gave us a dodge challenger which cost us so much more in gas for a weekly rental. THen when we returned it they charged us a 150 cleaning fee claiming their was "tons" of pet hair on the seats. Umm we did not have pets in the car and there were a few strands of hair that transferred from our clothes. They were just trying to recoup what they lost of the rental since that car has a higher rate. Customer service of course stood by their crappy attendant. It was by no means excessive.UPDATE: After much back and forth Budget refunded the cleaning fee, so I was made whole.

Would give my experience, with not only this location but Budget, a solid ZERO! Between being on the phone for several hours to resolve a car they issued to my family (two adults and two toddlers) that smelled like weed and a full water bottle of Fiji that clearly had human urine in it. The bottle was found under the passenger side seat, proved to me they don’t inspect/disinfect their vehicles upon drop off. Did we not learn anything from this global pandemic that we all had to live through?! If you are looking to rent what was clearly a joyride car, this is the company for you! Not worth the hassle of making hours worth of phone calls only to have a tow company pick up the car with zero knowledge of a replacement car. Terrible customer service and just a game of phone tag.

After a long and horrible flight on American Airlines thru Charlotte, it was a very pleasant and stress free picking up our rental car at Budget. Everyone was so nice and helpful there, and we were surprised with a free vehicle upgrade.

Vehicle immobile , no one checked if vehicle had broken AC and overheating. Not satisfied. Avoid Budget belvedere location. Flight missed due to vehicle issues. No compensation offered. Please avoid this location.

NEVER, EVER HAVE THE UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE OF RENTING FROM THIS OUTLET.I would give ZERO stars to this agency if it were possible.We made our reservaton 2 months prior to pickup. We were met by the most miserable and sullen staff we have ever encountered. Unfriendly and unhelpful. Most particularly rude and wretched was the associate who 'assisted' us with our rental. When we arrived, altho there was a lot FULL of cars, we were told NONE were available. We waited 2 hours for a car. During that wait it was obvious that there were issues with the staff at the site. There were 'huddles' of employees and undertones of overt dislike between the staff to the point that it was uncomfortable waiting at the site.We had ordered a full size and after 2 hours were given a Kia K4 which we took as we were told: take it or leave it. Our hotel was 15 miles away on Singer Island. On the way to the hotel we noted scraping sounds when braking. It was late and we were exhausted so we checked into our hotel with plan to return car in the morning. Trying to be a good sport spouse I brought the car back so that my husband could answer patient calls.I pulled the car into the return where it was taken and it was noted that there was an issue with the brakes. I then went into the agency. Only one person was out at the counter an dit happened to be the same person with whom we dealt the prior evening.He refused to change the car as he said that since my spouse had signed the contract only he could change the car. He would not face time or speak to my husband. I asked to take the car back and pick my husband up and he refused to allow me to take the car to get him. Essentially this left him stranded at the hotel and me stranded at the agency. I was not allowed to speak to his supervisor. I was not allowed to update or re-do the contract even though the reservation was made by me and the credit card used for the rental was mine.I was forced to walk to another agency and rent a car there. The agency in which I entered was 180 degrees different. Pleasant and helpful staff. Welcoming and customer first attitude.The Budget site needs an oversight evaluation of the employees as a whole as they appear unhappy and they have no service orientation.
