Very disorganized. Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

I checked in online, they gave me a stall number and rental agreement, and then when I got there my car was nowhere to be found. I had to stand in a long line after a long day to an understaffed counter to fix the problem. Why have an online check-in process that seems to work yet doesn't? I'd be much less annoyed if they were up front that they didn't have an online system that would supposedly allow me to "skip the counter."

Very confusing place to get your rental. And almost impossible to find to return it. The employees are nice and cars are clean.

Worst car experience of my life. I am Presidents Circle member. Rented compact SUV, was "upgraded" to full size SUV and was given a POS 2018 Grand Cherokee with 62k miles. Was told nothing can be done to upgrade or change and because prepaid, no refund. Also spoke to cust service who said same thing. Guess they dont really care about customers, especially President Circle.........My LAST Hertz rental for me and my company...........AND no agent from the local agency ever contacted me.......

Deceptive Pricing Practices and Misleading Upgrade OfferI initially made a reservation online and prepaid for my rental. Upon arriving to the rental office to pick up the vehicle, a service representative offered me an upgrade for what seemed like a nominal fee of only $100 more than what I had already paid online. Given the seemingly minimal increase in price for what appeared to be a substantial upgrade, I accepted the offer. It was only after returning from my vacation that I discovered a discrepancy in the charges on my credit card statement. To my dismay, I found that I had been charged twice – once for the online prepayment and again for the total amount paid at the office, which included the upgrade fee. This resulted in a significantly higher total cost than what was initially presented to me.Upon disputing these charges with the rental office, I was informed that the amount they showed me on the final bill was with the prepaid amount deducted. However, at no point during the transaction was this made clear to me. The service representative failed to disclose that the total amount presented to me included the deduction of the prepaid amount, thereby giving me a false impression of the actual cost of the upgrade.I found the lack of transparency and clarity in pricing unacceptable and think that it reflects poorly on Hertz's commitment to customer satisfaction. I feel deceived and misled by this experience and would like to express my strong dissatisfaction with the handling of this matter.

When we landed we were told by the original rental company that they were out of cars and unsure of when they’d have anything again. So we went straight to the Hertz counter and had the best customer service. They had the vehicle that we needed and Araceli (I believe that was her name) was a huge help. Thank you for saving our vacation.

Hertz is closed and employee would not allow me to bring it in the lot, stating “We’re closed and you need to leave.”"After hours return is available. Please park the vehicle in the Hertz area and leave keys and rental agreement in the drop box located at the counter. After hour return charges (as well as optional service charges) for non-Insurance Replacement rentals, will accrue until the location reopens for business."Quote above is from the Hertz at RSW page

I have reviewed numerous comments from previous customers and echo their sentiments regarding Hertz/Thrifty. Despite booking my rental car with Thrifty, I was instructed to visit Hertz, which struck me as peculiar. The employees appeared disinterested in assisting paying customers. While I have visited Florida on multiple occasions, my trip to West Palm Beach for a birthday celebration was my first. Unfortunately, my experience with Hertz/Thrifty was thoroughly unpleasant, compounded by conflicting price information provided by the employees. As a certified forensic fraud examiner, I am attuned to discrepancies in numbers, and their apparent ignorance leaves me shaking my head in disbelief. A little side note, these rental car companies really need to do better and if they can't. I guess the government would step in and assist the customers. A picture of bad customer service that lady in the picture was angry as hell.

I have no words to describe how terrible this company is. Speechless. They wasted valuable time with family I rarely get to see. The manager had stepped out and this “new” passport requirement is bogus. The very best part was the fact that the app doesn’t say that Canadians need passports. You have to log in to the website for that new policy in the fine print. I will never book with Hertz again. I will be escalating to corporate and I will settle for nothing less than a full refund for the worst rental experience of my life. In regards to the robot response I received:I DO NOT WANT TO SPEAK TO A LOCAL MANAGER. Do you even know what corporate means?
