Located on the corner of Lake Ruby Road and Thompson Nursery, the Ruby Lake Dollar General is a convenient and popular place for last-minute groceries in a populated rural area. It is always busy, usually with a long line and wait, as it is the only one in the area. The store has an extensive supply of grocery items, including a full wall of refrigerated foods and a fresh fruit and vegetable case. It also offers propane and ice, health and beauty products, toys, craft supplies, stationery, beer, and cigarettes. With a good selection and better prices than some larger stores, it provides self-checkout and has recently undergone a remodel adding many new items. The staff receives notable praise for their strong work ethic and attitude. The store manager has many years of experience and works continuously. Other employees are described as friendly, helpful, organized, and perfectionistic, often stocking shelves when not at the register. The team is viewed as great employees and great people, willing to help and creating a sense of an extended family for some customers. While sometimes the staff is nice but could use better customer service standards, they generally earn straight A's across the board for being helpful and hardworking. The store itself is considered great, though its busy nature is occasionally accompanied by minor incidents like a forgotten item being taken.
Always a wait but THIS is the only DG in my area so it's ALWAYS busy! Usually a long line and wait and sometimes the staff is OK they are nice but could use a bit more better customer service standards.

Just close this store already, how much money are you actually making if everytime people come here there is an orange sign saying that the store is "temporarily closed"

Crowded, understaffed, and a hazard. The poor cashier is miserable, and if there's any kind of emergency, people won't be able to escape.
