“Got a million things you never know u needed til you go in there and it's much cheaper than regular retail. Got bday cards for grandkids, son and daughter in law for under 10 bux and wife picked up stationary and household stuff. Couple bux more. Can't beat it. Better n Walmart for some”

On multiple occasions, they have given additude and even offered to call the police just because I asked the Manager to help me retrieve an item on the top shelf.
Not every employee is bad and the store is always fully stocked. But the decisions and actions of one person ruins a reputation.”

“Fairly clean and stocked. I found some cute items. This store has more that others I have visited and some things were $3 and $5. I’ve started using some of their makeup especially foundation, I went and found what I like and stocked up and it was brand name and $1.25 probably saved 8-10 each on these items.”

“The store is pretty clean and most of the staff are nice and friendly. I noticed the Rug Doctor there and inquired about renting it on Saturday, before Easter. When I went back to get it, the manager couldn't find the key. She looked for it for a few minutes, said she couldn't find it, apologized and went to the other worker to ring her items up that she was purchasing. She didn't seem to care much about the situation”

“The manager at this location, Daniel, is awesome! He really cares about customers. I called to ask if I should come in and buy balloons ahead of time and then bring them back the next morning at 8 am to get the helium put in ( I needed them for a birthday the next day). He said come in and pick them out ahead of time and then leave with him and he would have it ready first thing in the morning because he would be there. He did exactly as promised and the balloon bouquet was amazing!!! Love that this location is open at 8 am. Unfortunately at some of the other nearby locations only open at 9 am and when I have needed balloons, after checking out and paying for them there is often a long wait while the employees continue to ring up other customers and only put the helium in my balloons when the line is finished. I’ve sometimes had to wait 20-30 minutes after paying for balloons. Not at Daniel’s location!”

“Decent enough Family Dollar on Hoffner Avenue. The selection is what you would expect from a Family Dollar and, like all of these dollar store places, there are some good values and some items wouldn't be worth it if they were free. The staff was friendly and it was an overall positive experience.”

“I’ve been coming to this store for years, and it’s great to see strong, respectful management like Frances and Lurdes back in place. Their dedication and effort to keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming has always stood out to me.
Recently, there was a temporary “manager” who, unfortunately, did not treat the employees with respect—I even witnessed her speaking very rudely to an employee in front of others, which was disappointing to see.
I’m genuinely glad to see that she’s no longer there and that the original management team has returned. It makes a big difference in the store’s atmosphere. Thank you, Frances and Lurdes, for your leadership and commitment!”
