We absolutely love the children's section of Writer's Block; it has a great variety of books. We love to go up there and read. We always finds one or more books to buy. Shout out to the team of knowledgeable staff as well.

A cute, independent bookstore in Winter Park, FL. They have a lot of fun events and author visits. Definitely a gem. I visited for the Kristin Harmel pre-launch, and enjoyed the whole quaint downtown area.

Absolutely love this place! I've popped in a few times over the years but made a stop in recently and had the absolute best experience! was shopping for some gift ideas for my nephew and was at a loss, but that's when Erin from the kids section stepped in. She was my absolute savior. She was very sweet, attentive and gave me quite a few recommendations to work with. Could not have done it without her. 10/10 customer service experience. Will definitely keep recommending, this place AND Erin to my book loving friends.

Visited yesterday from Indiana and this bookstore is so cute and cozy! I bought books, stickers, a bag, book marks, and post cards for my daughter and I. I absolutely loved the store and book selection! Customer service however is another story! The first lady who helped me was so sweet! I didn’t get her name but she had an accent from another country!! Very kind and took the time to answer my questions and give me a couple opinions on books! She was AMAZING! So I was completely caught off guard and shocked when a new lady rang up my items and was so unfriendly, standoffish, and made me feel like I was a bother and annoying for asking questions. Weird bc she was so nice, talkative and friendly with her coworker before I walked up. I was so excited to be there and she ruined my whole experience. Yikes! I would love to come back if I am ever in town again but that really left a bad taste in my mouth about the store so I won’t be back.

Two stars, one for the selection of books and one for the young man who made an effort to assist us.While checking out I made a joke BOGO and said heheheh, and the lady standing next to him, and aka Drama Queen says very rudely no sales today. Like did I ask for sales, no I was having a polite convo with the young man, then he asked what the price was for a squishy Pete the Cat and she says there was a register upstairs. Maybe if you had staff upstairs actually helping people then I would have checked out up there but also I had books downstairs waiting on me too, I also had my mom with me who is elderly and not able carry all the books upstairs and back down again. This is the worst customer service, she was extremely rude, her tone and attitude towards elderly folks was the worst I’ve ever seen. Been here tons and now make a point to shop when I’m in town. They just lost my business today, sadly my mom will keep going back, even though they will probably be rude We spent $250 today.Almost forget the younger crowd when we walked in by the register was super loud and obnoxious and customers were rolling their eyes, I had to ask for help for a book and the young man knew exactly where it was, the ladies said he was glad he was leaving, in my opinion, they should have been stationed around the shop dusting and asking what folks what they were interested and let the young man run the front counter. The drama queen needs to be sweeping the sidewalk out front and holding the door.

I stopped in at Writer's Block Bookstore when exploring Winter Park for a day last month with my mom and stepdad. It's small but charming and very well stocked/curated. Ten minutes in that store and I was ready to walk out with five books! The staff were really friendly and sweet! I picked up a new book for my flight back home the next day. Charming spot!

Writer’s Block Bookstore is one of my favourite shops on Park Ave. And now they have an expanded kids’ section! They have a cute stationery section, too. The staff are super friendly and will help you find what you need if you’re shopping for a gift. Erin in the kid’s department was super sweet and knowledgeable.

I went there for a Tabitha Brown book signing and the staff were very helpful. Nicely accommodating to elderly and children. The store should probably have had more of Tabitha's merchandise for sale but overall an awesome experience. Cute section of oven mitts w/ catchy sayings and nice selection of banned books.

What a delightful independent bookstore. Perfectly located in winter park. You can purchase a book and sit in the park, or grab a bite to eat. They rock because they have amazing book events. I came here for the Tabitha Brown book signing. The staff is great and I will definitely be back.
