I'm a people guy, so service is important to me. I've been going here for about two years, but today I have to post. I've learned quite a bit about protein in general, but the most important thing is to trust the butcher. So today, I scored a 2" premium ribeye and though I had a selection in mind, I asked for their advice. They sent me in another direction and it was a triumph. With a steak this big, my default is a dry brine, reverse sear, and brown butter braise with garlic, thyme, and rosemary. I have to say, this was the best steak I've ever had the pleasure to eat. Not because what I did was special, but because what Robby and his son do is special. I can't say enough good things. Honestly, if you're in the area, stop in and you won't be disappointed.

Popped in the Acworth location on a whim. What a place! It was very clean, there was a friendly gentleman behind the counter, and they had a great selection. Didn't expect to see wild game like elk (my favorite) and boar available, and was pleasantly surprised at the pricing. I'll be back!

BE IN THE KNOW AND YOU'LL BE HAPPY!THANKSGIVING PREP DONE! I've been in here a bunch and they have everything. People looking for that giant steak, special meat, or want food cut their way? Findley's! So much more, but you should go in and start your own food journey.Like you see on shows where people get real food? That still exists today, so if you plan on a great meal or you're planning an event, check it out. I'll toss some pictures on when I head by tomorrow. This is where to shop for Thanksgiving! We cook traditional+ and that WFoods @ Barrett doesn't even have rabbits. Findley's does, and they're open on Sundays! Some people may look away from that amazing stew, but it's a special dish that means a lot, and I will be thankful to prepare it this year.UPDATE: Sorry I didn't grab pics but I was window shopping. I suggest you do the same. Dry aged prime rib the size of my kid? Check! Whole rabbits? Good to go! I am a beef jerky connoisseur and they have all kinds which is great. Wife said I could grab snacks like if I wanted jerky from WM. In my opinion there hasn't been good jerky since the 90s except specialty like I order. Here had all types amd animals. I still went with the large Cajun link, amongst the 20+ other links, under the summer sausage. I remember my grandmother would rarely get the butchered jerky when I was little because it was 50 miles up to Cuero, TX, so I only enjoyed that delight a few summers. Anyways, tons of cured meat here if you want. Those wanting beautiful cuts, I promise you won't be disappointed. Beautiful case.My mom already got Elk, boar, gator lobster, shrimp, etc. I double checked because the tails here are the size of your forearm. She got plenty too so I couldn't rationalize getting more. The only thing I asked was if people wanted frog legs. Great price but we just have so much to cook already I didn't grab.My point is if you want food come to the butcher shop. I remember my 1st medium steak, I was scared before I had that wonderful meal. This butcher shop is where you're going to get meats I would consider safer being it hasn't had all the weird stuff supermarkets do. I would absolutely try a rare steak or prime if it came from Findley's. Like that wonderful 1st medium cooked steak I had should be your venture into the butcher shop. I bet you'll be surprised and if you're wanting something special then they probably have it.I left the store hungry for food but full of ideas. I think I will mark meats and we just make a special dish a week or when we can. Rather than go to a restaurant splurge on that Flintstones cut. They have seasoned ribs ready for you. They have fresh cuts ready for you. They have aged prime ready. All the specialties you can imagine including kangaroo. To list what they have would be longer than my book here so go in for yourself. Happy eating!!Hunters know to get with them buy in case you're wondering or don't have the time to process then call them in season.

We use the Findley's in Cartersville. Because we tried several times to get meat at the Acworth location, but they were out of the meats we wanted each time. But I'm glad, because the one in Cartersville is a fantastic butcher. And every time we call, they have what we need. We usually get the kitchen cooking package. It's a game changer for us. It saves us so much money over the grocery store, and the quality is unbeatable.

I like their meets. I will never go in here again. Every time I go in there is one guy (probably the owner) who makes me feel like I am at a car dealership. He is always trying to pressure me to buy more or Wagyu or something higher priced. I started driving all the way to the butcher shop in Marietta on Whitlock.

So-so Cajun sausages. Otherwise spectacular cuts of meats if you can afford them. This Mean waigu beef!

I like this place, sadly the product I bought (Leg of Lamb) I did not like. It was very.. peculiar. Which I very much regret buying as I love cooking especially with fresh ingredients and wouldve really loved to put my heart and soul into a steak. However, even after basting in butter, Thyme, avocado oil, and garlic and onion, that grassy smell and taste just wouldn’t go away. So, it became very expensive dog food. I also bought beef and chicken, so I look forward to making my secret recipe chicken gumbo and some fiesta tacos! Will definitely be trying the duck and elk too.

Check the dates on the stuff in the freezer before you buy. I get that it's probably fine, but I didn't expect to pay 10 dollars a pound for 4 month old sausage. The fresh chicken is nice though.

I hate to be driven away from a place for price but unfortunately the price gouging here was unacceptable... After going to other butchers today and comparing market value prices I have determined that this place charges nearly 50% more than any of there competitors. Ribeye should not go for nearly $40 a pound for prime that's almost Australian wagyu pricing. And the fillet being almost $60 a pound is also insane. For prime meat I shouldn't be spending nearly $250 dollars on 5 steaks and not a single one be wagyu. So unfortunately I'll be moving along to other butchers.
