Dokimeki Japan is a unique and cute store at Northpoint Mall, offering a lively vibe with Japanese music playing. It is a go-to spot for gifts, especially stuffed animals, which come in large, small, fluffy, and less fuzzy varieties, including pigs, breads, and Pusheens. The store is very Asian themed, featuring Japanese anime merchandise, kpop gear, and Chinese trinkets. It is perfect for Sanrio and Pokémon fans, providing a good variety that other stores lack. The friendly and super nice staff are generally helpful, though the experience can vary. Visitors find it extremely tough to leave empty-handed due to the wide selection, but some note the prices can be surprising. The store is pretty easy to move around in, and it remains a reason for many to visit the mall regularly.
Selection was pretty good at the store. Unfortunately, the service was awful. Particularly from one of the cashiers. A girl with black hair and facial piercings. Whenever I asked questions about figures, she responded as if I was annoying her. Her attitude was crazy. Might not even go back because of her.

I enjoy the selection the store had to offer but the customer service from the cashier was not very pleasant. The girl with black hair didn’t even bother talking to me when I checked out and seemed like I bothered her. Would come again but hopefully with better service!

Great store, me and my family went here and loved every minute. Have a great variety of things from plushies to figures. The people that worked there were friendly and very helpful. Will be coming back again! 😁
