Drew, an REI worker in the shoe department, was very professional helping me get fitted and knows the shoe brand lines well and even the size variations between brands. I tried on 5 pairs of shoes and bought the one Drew suggested, a shoe that I wouldn't have thought of on my own. This is why I shop at REI, for personal service and the ability to try things on. I could have ordered my shoes online, but the instore shopping experience and customer service at this REI is valuable. Got $19 off using my member dividend.

Couldn’t leave the store today without recognizing Matt for the exceptional customer service he provided. It makes all the difference to be helped by someone as knowledgeable and genuinely pleasant as him.

Try to get a dog camping cot for my corgi inside their store, need to let my corgi try if she is ok with the cot. Stepped into this store and being kicked out , being told they are not pet friendly. Come on you are an outdoor store! Not a LV or Chanel store! I had been a loyal customer of REI and dumped thousands of dollars with them every year. Even last week I was looking at a $2000 snow peak tent on REI website and about to buy. But this store and how they treat my dog make me blacklist REI forever. An outdoor store who is not pet friendly is nothing but a rubbish!

so i ordered a bike to be shipped to the store and they made me wait over a month just for THEM to cancel the order.
the bike was on sale price and they compensated me with only 15% off when the price of the bike was raised after too. terrible company, smh.
do not trust their delivery services. period. do not order anything online, whether you get it shipped to the store or the house.
in-store purchases are great, however. the workers are very attentive.

Eric, the bike mechanic manager, makes this rei exceptional! He is super helpful and has an incredible wealth of knowledge about bikes and bike repairs. He also will tell you what your bike needs for repair instead upselling you things you do not. I'm glad I caught him at this rei, a great resource.

The customer service at the REI Alpharetta location is outstanding. The staff are not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, making every visit smooth and efficient. Their expertise and willingness to help make it easy to find exactly what you need. Highly recommend this location for all your outdoor gear and advice!

Every REI I go to is amazing: the employees are phenomenal - knowledgeable, fun, energetic, passionate about the outdoors - and stores are always clean and organized.
This review is about the flat tire bike class at the N. Point location though. Two hours may seem long for a class but trust me you are learning or practicing the entire time, plus if you’re a member it’s only $25 and they keep the class size small. Erik is a bike guru in my mind, think he said he’s been repairing bikes for 40 years! He is knowledgeable, funny, experienced, and customized the learning to the types of bikes the three of us in class had.
Highly recommend any bike class from Erik!

The purple 20inch coop bicycle seems perfect for my 46inch tall daughter. But the service at this store is beyond reasonable. They are suppose to help you adjust the bicycle but the man never even asked or helped when my daughter complained about the hard brakes and seat height. I easily fixed it for her at home so it wasn’t the end of the world. Wanted to surprise my daughter and drove an hour and a half to get a miserable experience. The guy behind the bicycle counter had an attitude or problematic tone with every customer before me. Getting help from him seems to have hassled him. Buying a REI coop bicycle might of been a mistake if this is the type of condescending employees, who will service our bikes.

had an incredibly disappointing experience at REl. The staff was rude, unprofessional, and condescending
Instead of providing good customer service, they acted stuck-up and dismissive, making us feel unwelcome. Even the manager had the same unprofessional attitude, which shows this isn't just a problem with a few employees-it's a deeper issue with the store's culture.
No customer should be treated with disrespect, and I won't be supporting a business that allows this type of behavior. If you value kindness, professionalism, and a welcoming atmosphere, l'd recommend shopping elsewhere.
