As an REI member for 25+ years, we had a top notch customer service experience with REI associate, Drew, when shopping for new shoes. He exemplified professionalism, with his patient listening skills, while relating his expertise and technical knowledge of all their shoe products. Great dedication in representing REI’s brand of quality and service. My Son left the store, with a perfect fitting shoe, specifically suited for his work. Excellent service! Thank you, Drew and REI in Alpharetta!

Generally my experiences at every REI have been quite good. Been a member for ten years or so. Today in the shoe section an associate deliberately was messing around on their phone to avoid helping my partner and I purchase shoes. Moment we walked away the phone went in the pocket. Hella rude.

Terrific, Insightful Service. This is the go to location for bike repairs & services in North Atlanta for folks who like the ride but may not be a bike expert. They take the time to help you - and leave you with a well serviced bike and a little more knowledge that you walked in the door with. You can see the entire store is a well run team - lots of engagement & listening to customers across the store - and no one in an REI uniform sitting around and ignoring the customer. Great overall experience.

Quality goods and a very helpful staff. Love coming and checking out what is available here for various outdoor activities. (Going to the beach or hiking in my case)

Excellent people work in the repair shop, unfortunately the place is so mismanaged that on June 26 when I came in for a very quick minor tune up, I was told I would be lucky if they could see me in three weeks. This is the peak of bicycling season and they are so understaffed and poorly managed that they can't give decent service to their members. It's like. a grocery store running out of beer the day before the Superbowl! It would be one thing if this was supposed to be a cut-throat competitive store, looking to make a short-term profit, but no, this is theoretically operated on behalf of members. Imagine how someone would feel if they joined the co-op, paid premium prices (prices for everything at REI are high), expecting half-decent service only to find that REI couldn't care less about their membership. So disappointing. If you want anything that REI sells, drive an hour north to the outlets and pay 50% less and if you want a bike or bike parts, go anywhere else. So sad to write this, especially as the people in the bike repair shop are wonderful.

I’m an out of state customer, that has worked years in sales and customer service. This place is extremely frustrating and the customer service was nonexistent. The older lady that attempted to help me answered one question and gave me one product and then continued to ignore me for at least 10 minutes. Very disappointed.

Feedback that I just sent to REI via their website:In this world of diversity and acceptance, it might be a good idea to review these things with Matt, the cashier I encountered today. He looked up my REI membership and then asked if Wolfgang was really my name. I resisted asking if he really had more than a Jethro Bodine education.Over the past few weeks, I have had multiple positive interactions with the team in the bicycle sales area. Pierre has been very helpful, the young lady with a slight European accent, the gentleman with a tan (working this afternoon) and the senior bike mechanic have all been pleasant and professional.I'm not going to let the cashiers ignorance of music, cooking, and other nationalities keep me out of the store, but I wanted to bring it to your attention.
