“The Springhill Suites is a hidden gym in downtown Athens. The hotel has a great complementary breakfast and a very lively bar area in the evenings with great drinks. During my stay, I met two of the happiest Marriott employees that I have ever encountered in all of my travels, Erin and Hollie. They made me feel extremely valued as a lifetime Titanium Elite member and provided excellent customer service. These two should definitely make a career change to become customer service trainers!”

“This is such a wonderful place from checkin to entire stay. Very comfortable rooms!! Location is walking!! Best of all, Valencia is the server at the breakfast bar. Her smiling face, positive attitude, and desire to truly please her customers goes beyond!! What Valencia did not know is that I was not feeling well and because of her positive energy and caring service, I feel much better. She made my day! Thank you sweet lady! ??”

“This place is a must!! We stayed for 3 nights and it could not have been more pleasant. Dean and Christina were wonderful hosts. The property was beautiful, the house was gorgeous, and the rooms were clean and cozy! We stayed in the Antebellum room in the main house and communication about how to get in was clear and easy! The breakfast the next morning was lovely. We were about 15 minutes from the UGA campus. Additionally, the price is UNBEATABLE! (especially for a game day weekend!!) We truly enjoyed our weekend and hope to be back!Rooms: Super clean and cozy! There was a small fridge and microwave in the room and coffee too!Food & drinks: delicious home made breakfast :)Noteworthy details: stunning 1800s home”

“The staff at Poindexter and the front desk were wonderful. Best vibe and decor in town. Amazing breakfast sandwiches and coffee. They rushed our order and brought it to us as we boarded our airport shuttle. 10/10”

“Excellent choice especially if you have an event next-door at the Classic Center. This hotel is centrally located to several restaurant choices. The rooms were clean and well stock with towels. The complementary breakfast was amazing. The convenience of having a restaurant/bar at the hotel Was an edit touch for food and drinks. We experienced a little bit of trouble with check-in. Despite calling the hair with room changes, the front desk was unaware. Also, double charged for the room, but was refunded within 24 hours.Walkability: Super convenient for events/business at the classic center. Lots of restaurant choices within walking distance.Food & drinks: The complementary breakfast was impressive at this location. The place restaurant downstairs offered great bar, food selections, as well as a full bar for drinks.”

“Stay here when I’m in town for shows at the GA Theater. As a bus driver it’s not very easy to find places that are comfy to sleep during the day as we drive over night when the bands are asleep. This hotel minus the occasional siren sound is very quiet and the staff is extremely accommodating. Thank y’all for another great stay! Also very walkable for food and entertainment!Safety: Be mindful there are homeless that line the streets here in Athens but most are just trying to live and won’t bother you for anything.Walkability: Food!”

“This is a condo, not a hotel, and that makes it a great place for a family travelling together. We had a three bedroon, three bath with kitchen and living room which allowed six of us to socialize and hang out together. You just can't do that in a hotel. The condo is in downtown Athens, close to restaurants and bars and near the UGA campus. You can walk to almost everywhere you want to go. We have travelled for years an always get a condo when there are several of us. A hotel is okay for a place to sleep but a condo allows for spending time together in a place with sufficient room.”

“I stayed at this hotel for three nights. Check-in was extremely easy, and everyone at the desk was very friendly and helpful in finding my way around campus. Upon arrival I was given coupons for free coffee at the bulldog bistro as well as free breakfast for every morning of my stay. Parking was in a university parking lot just across from the hotel. However keep in mind that parking is not free! On the morning of my check out, an employee had slid an invoice for 30$ of parking fees- which would have been nice to know about beforehand.Otherwise, the hotel was great! The king bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the fitness room was nice. The free breakfast was also great! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone needing to visit UGA.”

“When calling this facility Sparrow has been beyond helpful. 2 days in a row she has helped me find restaurants for my military spouse before they arrived. And continued to be helpful as I have called with questions about pizza delivery and spots to look for. We will visit this establishment the next time we visit this area.”

“Very comfortable beds, the only thing I don't like is you can't get a room unless you're from out of town. Me and my husband has date night and I would love to relax afterwards but can't because of ”

“This is not a 5 star hotel but the staff is a five star and within their strata of value hotels it is money well spent. I did notice the price went up when there was a greater demand for rooms, so book early! The breakfast isn’t the healthiest but they usually have a few healthy options. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.”

“I grew up traveling across the country with my parents and it probably stayed at 300 or more hotels during my lifetime and I can honestly say this exceed my expectations. Not only are the owners here friendly and courteous but work very hard to make sure your needs are met. I've never engaged owners of a hotel that are as nice as these people. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyoneBrandy LloydRooms: Clean, efficient, and maeets your needsNearby activities: Georgia Square Mall is directly across the street and you have several restaurants surrounding the propertySafety: Have literally left with my door open one time unknowingly and nothing in my room was Disturbed when I came back”

“I gave the room 4 stars because I could only get the microwave to run for 30 seconds at a time. The kleenex could not be used until I removed the box from the built-in dispenser. Otherwise the room was nice. The clerks at the front desk were very helpful in our getting the best price for the room. This was an unplanned stay and I would be happy to use them again.”

“See it's been around since the 70's as one of the owners came out and we talk about the Palm Tree and old pool area! Then as I told he about my effort in saving Cochran Creek Trout Sign and how some folks just shovel up a 1862 Civil Cemetery and moved toward Sullivan Road as I ask again what was the location of two Dawson County Ga police Cruisers Saturday 15 2023 .. as we see if there an shine on Hwy 9 Dawsonville Ga. Dawn Cochran Hunt, take my picture just a little longer”

“Two night stay and it was great, the linen was very clean and fresh. The room was a nice size, parking was limited if you’re trying to get a front spot. Lots of food choice options w/in walking distance. Staff was attentive as I entered night and day. I would return againRooms: Nice size tvLots of storage spaceComfortable bedsOutletsWater was not ? hot as I like itSmall gym areaWalkability: Walking distance for foodiesFood & drinks: Free breakfast the normal selection”

“Yes, this motel is categorized as a budget motel, but it was very clean, the bed was comfortable, it was close to downtown and the owner, AJ, was super friendly. There was even fresh coffee and pastries in the morning. Save money by staying here and splurge at the nice restaurants and bars in Athens. I would definitely stay here again.”

“We were in the room for one night of a 3 night stay! The ceiling in the bathroom started to drip! The entire ceiling gave way over the toilet and rendered the bathroom useless and the floor slippery! Thos is bad because we have mobility issues and this was their only handicapped room!”

“Everything except the Front Desk staff was awful!!! Bathroom was not cleaned after last guest. No other room to give me, Ray the front desk person came in and cleaned the floor. Owners family cleans No cleaning people available. I wish I could have left 0 stars but it wouldn’t allow. All blinds are wrecked, from the outside looking at the building blinds & screens to windows tore up, don’t work. I travel for business and use CLC all other rooms were sold out through CLC. CLC should not use this location!!!!I haven’t stayed at a Hotel I did not feel safe in, in 30 years. I felt very comfortable and unsafe in this location!!!”
