Doooo not move into there homes they have mold in them and tons of bugs and they will not fix anything if you ask no matter how much you beg and they will over charge you for everything and lie about it this is the worst place I have ever lived and they have the most horrible office staff I had to use a lamp in the kitchen for 7 months I begged for 10 months to have the roof leaks fixed and the pest control sent out and nothing nobody is ever in the office every neighbor I had said the exact same thing there places had mold and was infested also ...the first year I was there it was amazing they had great staff that took care of everything and got stuff done..I got attacked by a pitt bull and the owners did nothing about it besides called me to see if it was the lady's dog that was suing her then it took 2 months to even find out who it was I had to throw away over $10'000 of furniture and extra stuff away and also had to have major surgery because of the mold that made me sick they raise your rent every year the place I was in was made to look nice when I moved in but the whole place is shifting extremely bad and should be torn down..if you value your health and your property do not move into here ..

It a really nice place and I'm sure the owner has put a lot of time and money making it nice but the manager is rude and cussed at me for letting my dogs run free to the dog park. And made threats about calling the cops on me.

This place is beautiful and is run by a great family. The apartments are very clean and up to date for such a good price for rent. Very quiet neighborhood with great amenities. Definitely recommend talking to them if you are looking for a place to live in Athens GA!

I couldn’t be happier living here!! It is such a quiet and peaceful neighborhood like community! All the other residents are so friendly and quiet! I also love being near everything Athens has to offer while being tucked away in such a quiet community! I feel very safe here and have had zero concerns with other residents! The property also just had some new renovations! They repaved their road and added a dog park that my dog absolutely loves!! I have no plans on leaving anytime soon! I would definitely recommend living here!

Took forever to send me deposit back and charge all these extra fee to deduct money.. like cleaning behind a fridge etc.. horrible owners

Willow Mist's owners, the Kittles, are very friendly and seemingly kind people but kindness only goes so far. Their apartments suffer from a myriad of issues, chief among them being communication.1. Communication with the Kittles themselves or their apartments manager is difficult at best. They are slow to return emails, phone calls, or any other form of outreach, sometimes taking up to a week or requiring multiple calls before they get back to you.2. Unclear/Unfair lease agreements. My move out inspection form was given a perfect rating and described as "immaculate" in the words of the manager. However, I was then subsequently charged a $125 for a cleaning fee. When I reached out for clarification on this charge, I was ignored. There is nothing in the lease regarding mandatory fees or anything beyond the expectation to leave units in the condition they were received in.This is shady business practice at best and dishonest at worst.3. Maintenance is a joke. The maintenance supervisor is quick to dismiss issues as "unfixable" or decide additional time/tools are required only to never return and finish the job. For example, a component of my fridge was broken for the entire duration of my 12 month lease and it was not repaired in spite of the multiple maintenance requests I submitted.In the event that maintenance was "successfully" completed, that usually meant an unprofessional and jury rigged solution. Don't expect ANYthing to ever be repaired to decent standards.4. Pests - the entire complex is in a heavily wooded area. Get ready for cockroaches, centipedes, etc. Your house WILL be home to insects, regardless of how clean you are.5. Appliances are extremely out of date. The AC/Heater alone had to run constantly just to maintain the temperature at 78 degrees. This was uncomfortable to live with AND costly - expect your utility bill to run upwards of $100 on a regular basis, regardless of the season.I honestly would have been willing to overlook much of this (and the other issues I'm not mentioning here) in exchange for some decent communication and honest business. But it's obvious that management won't take time to talk with the residents and further obvious that maintenance doesn't respect tenants enough to even perform a sub-par job on anything. Those two factors alone drive this review - everything else was just fuel for the fire. 0/10, do not recommend, save yourself the time/effort - find someplace better.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Living here is a huge mistake. Currently suing Terri, the owner, for not refunding our deposit and breaking and entering before we moved out. They threw out our belongings and begged me not to call the police. Now she's ignoring all calls. Multiple people have had issues with her, if you choose to live here know that when you leave you will receive no money regardless of the condition of the home. She even sent an email to my current landlord stating how we were great tenants. She's done this to multiple people, be weary of renting here.

Currently seeking legal action after they entered our home while we were moving out, after paying the whole months rent, and threw away our belongs. Then proceeded to keep our deposit. Multiple people have had issues when moving out, they do not treat people fairly and I would be cautious when renting from them.

lived here a year and in retaliation for being late on rent during July Maintenance tampered with outside air unit causing us to be without air for 2 weeks this July. our calls for it to be fixed were ignored. also during this July 2 men, owner and maintenance, came into our home early morning while still in bed verbally threatening us to get out or they would call our jobs and try to get us fired. There was not a pool during the summer nor was ground broke to begin the pool This is a big part of amenities. these are just a few highlights of our last few months there.

We were renting for a short time but always found the management to be very reasonable and communication was top notch. The Kittles were always available to get in contact with by phone, email, and even text! No problem getting our security deposit back. Neighbors were also friendly.

I lived at Willow Mist for nearly 5 years and was sad to move. I always felt safe and any concern was immediately dealt with. The owners treated their residents as if they were family. When we had a baby girl, the owners were sure to make sure we had everything we needed and made us feel as if we were extended family. My neighbors were always respectful and in 5 years, we never had any issues. The reviews speaking about lack of maintenance concern and owners not caring is baffling to me. I strongly believe some people will never be happy. I know for a fact my neighbors would say the same about their experience at Willow Mist!
