My son skipped the 11th grade and will be attending his senior prom this year. The theme is “Enchanted Garden,” and we were hoping to find something unique, specifically a green velvet tuxedo jacket. Because our timeline was short, I started calling shops all over the metro Atlanta area on March 4th. After contacting numerous locations and searching online, Black Tie by Lori was the only place that even came close to having what we needed.

The next day, March 5th, my son and I drove from Acworth and arrived around 5 p.m. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. The shop is beautiful with a lovely waiting area and great ambiance.

We were greeted by Janae, who was an absolute joy to work with. Darion also stepped in to help, and together they created one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had.

When I showed them our “Enchanted Garden” inspiration photo, Janae immediately became excited and invested in helping us bring the vision together. Darion began researching options to see if a green velvet jacket might be possible. At first, it looked like it wasn't available. Instead of stopping there, he kept digging.

Then he said, “Wait a minute… I think I found one.”

He located a stunning green velvet jacket with a black satin peak lapel and even contacted the manufacturer directly to confirm availability. Amazingly, the warehouse had one left in stock. Thanks to his persistence, he made it happen.

The next morning at 10 a.m. they called me, we placed the order, and on March 12th we picked up the jacket. It fits perfectly and completely brings the whole look together.

What started as a plan to rent a black velvet tuxedo turned into owning the most incredible green velvet jacket.

Beyond the tuxedo itself, Janae and Darion made the entire experience unforgettable. At the time they were also assisting another customer who required quite a bit of attention and had been there for a long time trying on multiple trousers and needing several fittings. Even while managing that situation, they still made us feel like we were the only customers in the store.

Employees like Janae and Darion are rare. Their enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication made this a special memory for our family.
