“I had the pleasure of working with Vainglorious Brides for my wedding and I honestly don’t know that my day would’ve been the same without them. I opted for an elevated experience and Vainglorious did not disappoint. Not only was I treated like royalty but so were my bridesmaids. We had gift bags, tea, food, massages, and vibes. My rapport building with the team started at my final fitting and I am so glad they were there. I never would’ve known to point out the things that they noticed needed attention with my dress and they made sure my vision was brought to life. With that being said from my final fitting, to the pre-ceremony and after photos, to me changing into my second dress, they made sure I looked and felt good. Words cannot express how thankful I am for their team. At the very least, when the next event of this magnitude comes along, I’ll be booking again.”

I was especially impressed by her honesty; she assessed the dress and clearly communicated whether alterations were truly necessary. This kind of integrity is hard to find and made me trust her even more. She added a beautiful French bustle, which made it so much easier to move around during the reception, allowing me to fully enjoy my special day.

Additionally, she incorporated horsehair into the hem, giving the modern details of my dress a crisp and elegant look that I absolutely loved. Her email communications were timely and transparent, detailing appointment rules and expectations, which helped streamline the entire process.

“The team at white magnolia made my wedding dress shopping experience such a joy. I had the best time and found the most beautiful dress! Everyone was so helpful and nice. They made the experience very personalized and so special for my family, friends and I. Prior to my appointment, they sent me a link to a portal with all of the gowns they had in store where I could filter by style and price range and heart my favorite gowns prior to my appointment that I wanted to try on. This was so helpful!!! When I arrived at my appointment the team was so nice and had a customized sign on the door to the fitting room with my future last name! The fitting rooms were great as well, they had a dressing room in the room and a couch in the room so you had privacy to try on the dresses with just your party and whoever is helping you and it was only your group in the room. They were so sweet about letting me try on gowns multiple times when I was indecisive. They let us take pictures as well which was so helpful to reference throughout the appointment. They truly went above and beyond to make my experience so amazing! They have the most beautiful dresses and veils as well and at such great price points. Once I found my dress, they also gave me a goody bag which was so sweet. I would highly recommend the white magnolia to anyone looking for an amazing personalized experience, great customer service, and beautiful gowns at great price points!! Thank you so much!!!”

“Beware! I ordered a dress here Saturday 11/2 and was very excited, Conchetta was fantastic! I was told that bridal dress sizes vary widely and my size in this dress was a 10.
At home I was excitedly looking online at the dress and saw that Watters has a sizing chart for each dress. My measurements put me in a 2 not a 10. On Sunday 11/3 I reached out to the salon expressing my concerns and was told by the owner that a 10 was all that was available but he would reach out to their rep and see what could be done. I never would have purchased if I had known it was nowhere close to my size!
On Monday 11/4 Ricardo the salon owner confirmed that a 10 was all they can get. He was very nice telling me “I spoke with my wife and we can make it fit”. He reassured that me that they would make sure I was happy and promised to only charge $500, for the alterations, lol.
I believed him until hearing back from another Watters representative who explained that because “it is a corseted dress with wire structure” alterations would be extensive and it would be “risky” and “difficult for a seamstress to get it down to the right size”. I texted Ricardo the evening of 11/4 with my concerns and asked to speak 11/5.
Tuesday 11/5, I requested to cancel the order and everything changed. No more Mr. Nice guy, now he tells me they don’t allow cancellations.

Update: I’ve update my review from 1 star to 4 because I was refunded and Conchetta and Courtney were so wonderful. I have learned from this experience (having spoken to several seamstresses) that when it comes to alterations you can typically go up 1 size or down 2 sizes, anything more changes the dress. Especially if corsets, boning, or wiring are present.”

“After a less than ideal experience at another bridal shop- I was very apprehensive to go to another store but I had the best experience at Carries! My stylists- Ariel and Bri went above and beyond in every way possible. They put my feelings and opinions first in every dress they pulled for me to try. Could not recommend Carries enough!!”

“After visiting several bridal shops without finding “the one,” I stumbled across Laine London on Instagram and was instantly intrigued by their concept - wedding dresses for rent. Learning that one of the owners was Black made the experience feel even more personal and meaningful, it wasn’t a requirement, but it was a beautiful bonus.

From the moment I walked in, the experience was different, in the best way. Lundyn, one of the owners, greeted me with the kind of warmth and energy that felt like shopping with a close friend. Before my appointment, I had shared my Pinterest and Instagram inspiration, and she had dresses pulled and ready based on my vision. After trying on a few, we both realized we needed to pivot. That’s when Lundyn disappeared into the back and returned with the dress. It didn’t fit but that didn’t stop her. She checked availability, and it turned out the dress could be purchased. Long story short: it was ordered.

I was paired with Sonal, the sweetest seamstress, who made sure every detail was tailored to perfection. After a few fittings, I flew to Montreal and walked down the aisle in the dress of my dreams. I even referred a colleague who found her perfect dress there too.

Looking back at our wedding photos, I’m still in awe of how beautifully the dress sparkled and complemented the entire vision...from the European charm of Montreal to our historic venue’s modern and unique elegance and the love that filled the room. It’s true what they say: when you find the one, you just know.

“Wedding planning has been stressful, but this was the easiest and friendliest part so far. My fiancee had discovered this place while trying to get information about an engagement ring last year. Brett talked him through options, was very honest, and super helpful.

So of course as we were searching for a place to purchase a wedding band, Decatur City Jewelers was our first choice. Brett gave us an honest perspective on what would be the best choice for my engagement ring. We were looking at a couple bands, and then he said he had a cool one in the back and came out with the perfect ring. He gave us a great price and it was literally such a simple process. He also cleaned my engagement ring and told us more about the history of the ring. It was so cool.

And then my fiancee needed his grandfather's wedding band sized to his finger. Brett let us watch the whole process which was super interesting! He was honest about this process and what could happen, and it did end up breaking. However, Brett got in there and fixed it right up. You can't even tell! It looks perfect and even fits his hard-to-size finger.

I am so happy we came here instead of some chain jewelry store. I didn't feel like I was being tricked or scammed here. It was a friendly environment. It is obvious that Brett knows what he's doing and he was kind and informative throughout the process.”

“Beautiful event space. Good parking with a few handicap spaces, no ramp but no more than 5-6 steps. Off the beaten path so traffic to deal with getting in or out and more important NOT IN ATLANTA! Everybody doesn't want to go to Atlanta...ugh. ? I digress. Nice venue beautifully decorated, very spacious and clean restrooms.”
