Vogel State Park, nestled amidst the Chattahoochee National Forest, offers breathtaking scenery at the foot of Blood Mountain. Explore hiking trails, fish in pristine waters, or relax by the lake. Due to ongoing construction of a new visitor center, parking is very limited, and park staff may have to limit access during times of high visitation. This place is special, with a top-notch state-run park, stunning scenery, especially during fall. The park features RV camping, cabins, and well-maintained walking trails of varying difficulty levels. Visitors can enjoy the lake, with a beach area and swimming, as well as a cute little shop with friendly staff. The park is clean, well-maintained, and set in a cool mountain setting, making it a great family destination.
The Lake is drained, but the park was still gorgeous. Lots of activities for all ages. The CCC museum is a must to get a touch of history. Looks like a good place for families in cabins or camping. Lots to do in the area, too.

Well maintained state park. A little tight for larger rigs but definitely manageable. Disappointed that the lake is still empty; would've made the scenery much better. Park staff are nice and very helpful. Our first stay here was great!
