Representative refused to issue me an exchange for 2 pajamas my son was gifted for Christmas even though I had the gift receipt and the items were unopened with all packaging and tags intact. She asked me if I was a carters member I said no , then asked if I wanted to sign up and I said no thank you, then she proceeded to ask for my telephone number to which I replied it’s unlisted then she said she couldn’t process my exchange without me providing them with my telephone number. That’s when another another girl got involved. I expressed to her my number was unlisted and I didn’t wish for my personal information to be stored in their system due to privacy concerns. She said the system requires it, I asked for what purpose there is a receipt right there for proof of purchase just type all 0s for the number to by pass the system and stop making a simple thing complicated- to which she said she couldn’t that she needed an actual number. So I said okay fine and just started giving her a number and she rolled her eyes at me and said she couldn’t put the number I was giving her that she needed my real number or the number of the person who gifted it to me. I expressed to her that I traveled far to make this exchange and that this process was grossly inconvenient and did not wish to return so what’s next and she looked at me with a blank stare and provided no sensible resolution so I got frustrated and asked her to just provide me with the store number and her name so I can reach out to corporate about the matter. It was the absolute most ridiculous, frustrating, least customer friendly in store experience I have ever had. How absurd to request someone jeopardize their privacy for an EXCHANGE with a valid gift receipt where no money was being handled. Just awful.

This store is very nice, very neat and clean. The girls who work in this store are very friendly, but I can say that the last few times I have gone I was served by a man who is not friendly at all, he always has a strong response to the customer.

So they actually close at 5pm instead of 8pm. Absolute inconvenience to rush from work in ATLANTA after placing an online order! Never received my order!

I went into Carter’s today to return items that were damaged the zippers on the items were broken after 1-2 wears. I returned 3 items previously to the Snellville location. Then I asked can I return the other damaged items once they were found since I lost them due to me preparing to move soon. The store associate said that was fine and I can return them to any location. I was in the area of Buford and went to return them there. The store manger Cheri was incredibly disrespectful and said some really disrespect things to me. I explained the situation and she said “ I guess your in the business of returning things for a living”. I rarely return anything to Carter’s other than these damaged items and items that other people brought my children that they couldn’t fit. I also have two kids under 2 that I have to travel with everywhere so this isn’t an easy process for me. I wouldn’t return things unless there’s truly an issue with them. I even struggled in and out of the store with my wagon. She rung everything up in the system to start the return and gave me the prices. Then she said she could not service me and I explained the happiness policy to her resulting in her forcing me to buy something. Then she said “ I will give $3 back to get you out of my store. She disrespected and embarrassed me in front of my two children and everyone in the store. I contacted consumers affairs and explained the situation. When I contacted the store for her name she lied and said her name was Abby. Then told me consumers affairs handled the situation and that she told them all about me sounded a little threatening to me. She probably treated me this way based my race I will take this higher than consumer affairs at this point because I don’t feel like this situation was handled correctly. I strongly support Carter’s band I shop with Carter’s brand a lot even at other big stores such as Kohl’s and Target but if this is the service this company provides I’ll pass.

I purchased shirts for my son Tuesday 08/09, store associate during purchase was super happy and helpful, just a kind person really. I went back today Sunday 8/14 for an exchange size up where a different store associate greeted and assisted me. Everything was straight forward, I gave her the receipt and shirts, she told me to grab the shirts size up and I went back to the counter only to be denied by the store manager (because i had washed the shirts but never worn outside, just tried on) and be told that they were "not a consignment store". Like duh? I did not say anything before or after and just kept nodding so i dont know why she was "not condescending" at all. Actually maybe it was because of how i was dressed or not dressed. I Didnt wear make up this time and wore clothes a different style from the last ? Definitely skipping this Carters location from now on and sticking to Nordstrom rack and Tj Maxx when shopping.

They should not offer curbside pick up if the app doesn’t work and they never answer the phone. You can die waiting for that.

After my visit to Carter’s Buford, my faith in customer service was restored. I was hesitant to shop in the midst of covid but every employee put my mind at ease. They were so helpful, clean, and knowledgeable! All of the managers were even happy to help! I’m so indecisive and picky when it comes to dressing my babies, the presentation alone SOLD ME!This store is full of staff who love their job and love serving others! Very impressed!

I have three children, the oldest of which is 8, so I have been shopping Carter’s for many years and have spent thousands of dollars with this company. But their customer service, this store specifically, has gotten worse and worse until it’s unacceptable! I stood in line today, and had the cashiers pull someone else forward that had NOT been standing in line as long as I had. Horrible way of doing business. Perhaps you should reconsider the layout and have either better signage or an actual register line instead of just allowing customers to stand every where and down all the “aisles” of shoes. Will NEVER shop at this store location again.

Staff is nice, clean storefront, good variety of clothes for babies and kids. They do have public bathrooms if kids have an emergency.

As an avid user of the Shopkick App, I am highly disappointed with the lack of responsiveness the company has shown to us consumers. I have advocated Carter’s flame-retardant kids’ clothing for more than 40 years.Several fellow-Shopkickers have sent repeated e-mails for OVER 4 months.Still, NO RESPONSE!Do you call this customer service? Why do we bother coming here? We feel cheated and angry!
