“We have had excellent service from Amerigas, in large part because we are on their autofill program. It is comforting in the winter to know that Amerigas will make sure that we have plenty of propane no matter what the weather is.”
“We’ve been customers since building our home, and until recently our experience had been consistently positive. In the past, when our tank ran low or empty, refills were handled within a day or two without issue.
This time, when our tank ran out, we were told the earliest standard refill would be up to 13 days out. We were then informed that expedited service was available for an additional fee, initially quoted at $250 and later changed to $400.
These changes appear to be new and were communicated without prior notice. Given that propane is essential for cooking and daily household needs, the lack of urgency and inconsistent information around expedited fees was disappointing.
I understand companies have internal processes, which is why this is not a one-star review. However, clearer communication, consistent pricing, and more consideration for customers without gas would go a long way.
Update: They ended up coming to refill the tank within 24 hours so the review is updated accordingly”
