The Columbus Marriott is noted for its unique architecture and atmosphere, creating an exciting first impression. The lobby is pretty and the recently renovated rooms are described as nice, very nice, clean, and super clean with super comfy beds. Guests frequently praise the staff, who are consistently reported as friendly, accommodating, helpful, professional, polite, and going above and beyond to make visitors feel welcomed and cared for. The hotel offers an M Club lounge that is a nice and great place to unwind, though it may not have weekend breakfast. The onsite restaurant and bar, Houlihan’s, receives positive remarks for being amazing and great. The location is considered great with a lot of restaurants and bars in walking distance. However, some aspects receive criticism. The rooms are also described as fairly small and basic. The gym and pool are reported to be awful, with complimentary passes offered to a nearby YMCA instead. There is no little coffee shop or sundry store, and a $15 self-parking fee in an empty lot is charged, though free on-street parking is nearby. The property may not have as many extras as other Marriott properties. A nearby train is mentioned, but it did not bother all guests.
