Have shopped here for nearly 40 years. Though the name has changed several times, the owner is the same. You can find things here that you won't find in other stores. The place looks small on the outside but it's actually quite large. They do small engine repair.

Great place! Love the atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and nice. They were able to order a part for my riding mower. I didn't even know the name of it. They knew exactly what the part was even though they had never sold it before.

All I can say is this place is worth the visit. I had the pleasure of interacting with Dan. I believe he might be new, but he was very polite. In a time where everything is automated, and you feel like a number, Dawsonville Hardware made me feel invited and welcome. Thank you for showing and reminding me what people-to-people service should look like.

Horrible hardware store. They have nothing's no. Don't waste your time. Ace hardware is just up the street on 53.

I took my huskavarna chainsaw, they told me I needed to buy a new one, and this one wasn't worth keeping! But decided after 1 year to take to a very reputable repair shop, and he ONLY had to replace gas lines and primer bub, only charged me 40.00!!!!

This is a great place of business. Through nobody's fault, they accidentally overcharged me for some service work. I trust them so much I didn't even carefully look at my receipt. A few days later, James, who is the service manager (and maybe an owner, I don't know) called me and told me they had accidentally overcharged me $80 and promptly refunded the amount. James did not have to do that, but he is a man of integrity and Dawsonville Hardware is a place of business with integrity. They are out of my way, but they have become my go-to hardware for outdoor implements, service and anything else. I highly recommend them.

Friendly staff and well stocked store but disappointed with service.I had a $150 repair to a weed eater (new carburetor )and it still did not work. They would not stand behind their work. Said it was not their fault the engine was bad. Refused to adjust the bill or acknowledge any responsibility for the failed repair.

How nice it is to walk in a hardware store and someone ask if they can help you and actually do. America at it's finest.
