Dawsonville Hardware is a family owned and operated business open since 1947. It provides an old town, country, and hometown feel with a welcoming atmosphere. Though the place looks small on the outside, it is actually quite large inside its 10,000 square foot retail space. The business offers everything from nuts and bolts to large power equipment and has more than one could imagine, including modern, hard to find items that won't be found in other stores. Prices are reasonable and there are fun bins to explore. The staff is helpful, nice, polite, courteous, and knowledgeable, providing great people-to-people service that makes customers feel invited and welcome. They offer many services, including small engine repair for lawn mowers and outdoor power equipment, with factory trained technicians. They are honest and upfront about repair times and will call exactly when promised. The staff can also identify and order parts even if they have never sold them before. Additionally, they offer and install satellite internet and satellite TV. It is a great place worth the visit.
I had the transmission on my lawnmower replaced here. Everything was under warranty inwhich they took care of. From dropping it off to picking it up the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. During the repair I got a couple status updates keeping me informed. Highly recommend Dawsonville Hardware.
