Worse banking experience! Rude and unprofessional. Two times we have been in two hours before closing and have been told they don’t have enough time to open a checking account for us. You can change the name of a bank but it doesn’t make it a better bank (Sun Trust).

Love Katrina and some of the cashiers, but everything there is difficult and unfriendly. I have always had a problem sending wires. This time, the systems were slow. But they were at the counter too. All in all it took me almost 30 minutes to move money due to waiting on systems.

I came to this bank over 20 years ago as the Bank Manager was recommended to me. Suntrust always had great customer service. Truist has horrible customer service. One day I tried calling the customer service line and never got through then came to the bank on Ponce in dowtown Decatur, but the manager was no longer there. I had been there less than 30 minutes before and was not allowed to deposit checks that were endorsed. SSA does not acknowledge the law firm as I have a social security disability practice so checks are not written out to the law firm. SSA sends checks that have attorney employees' names on them. A bank teller, who did not understand Iolta accounts, was trying to tell me I could not deposit the checks into my business checking account which has occurring for over 20 years. Then, she told me my employee had to be present to deposit the checks. Imagine the time wasted with 2 attorneys standing there watching a low level employee deposit checks! As a colleague told me, "That is not sustainable." The Manager did nothing to intervene and said it was policy. I have been shopping for a new bank, but I use their payroll company so it involves a major move and time interviewing payroll companies. I have complained to higher level management and now have to go to other Truist locations to deposit my checks as the Manager never contacted me to apologize nor resolve the problem.

Never recovered from the BB&T merger. Customer service is awful. Local branch employees are friendly and want to help, but have limited authority. Calling customer number consistently involves unreasonably lengthy wait times. I’ve already moved most of my accounts and certainly won’t open any new ones at Truist. I was a SunTrust customer for years but Truist has lost my loyalty.

Horrible, horrific customer service. Racist and discriminatory “Bank Manager” Monika Singh who can’t seem to contain her disdain for Black people. She both refused to refer to me by my title of Dr, stating “it wasn’t on my license” and then threatened to call the police for no apparent reason when I insisted that she refer to me properly. Very disappointing and uncalled for. Clearly she is very miserable and will continue to be so.

Do not bank here! There was fraud on my 80-year old father's account. Truist cashed a VERY obvious fake check. (They whited out the correct name and wrote in another.) It's been 2 months and nothing has been done to return the funds to my Dad. He's written letters and visited the branch to no avail. Don't trust them with your hard-earned money!

So far my experience here has been good. The employees have been helpful and very nice, easy to work with. I have had 0 issues when I have gone inside the bank and received help. Lastly, I have not had to wait very long either when waiting for a teller to assist me. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because the ATM was not working properly and would freeze up. This is not the first time I've had an issue with an atm at one of their locations. I told the teller inside it was not working and she seemed like she didn't care as my concern was ignoredI hope they fix it soon as this location is the closest branch to me.

The customer service with SunTrust now Truist has declined so much so that I am looking for another bank where I will be treated with great customer service. An employee drafted funds out of the wrong account by admission and now I’m unable to retrieve them after being promised that they would be returned right away. The area Senior Vice President was completely useless in the situation and simply made excuses for the inadequacy of the employee as well as the bank. Terrible, terrible, terrible that this billion dollar company doesn’t have upper management in place to properly train bank employees and has individuals who choose to do nothing when money is wrongly taken from a client.

Have been at drive-thru for 20+ minutes for a simple check deposit (and am still waiting). The SunTrust+BBT merger has been a nightmare. Service has declined as has number of locations. Really disappointing as I’ve been a customer for 16+ years and never felt this way until now.
