“While searching for certain supplies at multiple locations in the area, I was directed here. They had exactly what I thought I needed, JUST A HAIR SMALLER, everything else was a perfect match and with the missing part from the package one car insisted I take another that was packaged up for no additional charge but I showed him I had the same exact thing in my pocket. Great customer service.”

“I will tell you the truth, Keith and Donald, along with the other guys at Assured Air in Douglas GA, are some of the best guys I have ever met. They tried to help with a problem we had with a Kobalt 5 horsepower, 80 gallon tank, as the motor was going out and the pressure switch as well. It still is not running, but this was no fault of theirs. So I purchased a Schulz 7-1/2 horsepower, 60 Hz, single phase, 80 gallon tank, oil dipper system (as the connecting rods of the compressor dips into the lubricant oil to splash it all inside, to keep the bearings and shaft lubricated, which is unlike a pressurized oil system in most vehicles, which also has an oil filter). Assured Air also installed a valve which allows the motor to keep running while allowing the compressor pump to bypass the air being pumped into the air receiver tank, as it exits through a muffler to keep it more quiet, as this system is a motor and pressure switch saver, as there are fewer times the motor starts, which causes less power spikes that it takes to start the motor (saving electricity if there are air tools being used frequently by several people), and at the same time, there are less times the points in the pressure switch has to be activated, as frequent starts will burn up the points in the pressure switch, which will make it necessary to replace this switch. Operating in this mode also allows the motor to just turn the large cast iron pulley, as this pulley has fan blades built in, and while the pulley is turning under 'free-wheeling mode', it is blowing the outside air into the cooling fins to keep the compressor cooler, allowing it to have a longer life. Then when the air pressure gets to a pre-determined pressure in the tank, this valve will close and pump up the tank again to a pre-determined pressure, saving motor starts each time as well as reducing the points in the pressure switch from having to be turned on so many times in a day. But by simply turning a ball valve, it can also go back to a regular mode, if air pressure is needed occasionally. Assured Air can explain about this in greater detail, as they are professionals in their field. This air compressor says specifically not to run synthetic oil, as I called the factory to ask 'Why not'. The reason being, most people seem to think, all synthetic oils are the same, but the truth in reality is, there are ENGINE synthetic oils and other types, such as COMPRESSOR oils in this case. With this Schulz air compressor, they specify to break-in the compressor pump with a NON-DETERGENT straight 30 weight petroleum oil for 8 hours, then drain the compressor tank of the air and to change the oil again. At this point, check the air filter and clean or replace if in need. Then to torque the compressor hex-head bolts to 30 foot pounds, and to torque the Allen-head bolts (on each head) to 13 foot pounds, and to put 40 more hours on the compressor. I did this 40 hour oil change twice, one time after one week and the next time, another 40 hours. It says in their literature, to check the air filter each week to make sure it is clean, and from this point on, to change the 30 weight non-detergent petroleum oil every 200 hours or 60 days, whichever comes first. But the Tech at the factory told me, after the initial break-in, a synthetic compressor oil can be used which meets the following specs: ISO 100, SAE 30 Weight, as the Tech said the drain intervals can be extended to between 600 to 700 hours or 4 to 6 months, whichever comes first And the factory Tech told me, if the correct synthetic oil is used (such as AMSOIL ISO 100, SAE 30/40 Straight Weight Synthetic Oil), they would prefer that their air compressor run on synthetic....but it has to be the correct synthetic oil, and NO engine oil like is used in vehicles, and ONLY after the correct break-in period. Assured Air in Douglas GA also carries all kinds of replacement parts, and all kinds of air compressors, as well as working on all makes and models. I installed an automatic tank drain, which drains the tan”

“Lowe's is always a fun place to go! You can pretty much find anything you're looking for in there and their prices are pretty fair. You can't always find help but it is usually easy to find what you need if you just look around”
