89 Gudger St, EllijayMy little dog was suffering from what I thought was an eye infection, it was not. It turns out that it was two ulcers in her left eye. Ellijay Animal Hospital took her in and evaluated her in less than half hour after arriving. The facility was not equipped to handle these type of injuries. So, they found a hospital with an ophthalmologist, got an appointment on the same day. Unfortunately, for my pet she lost the eye but it could been worse. That type of condition can affect both eyes causing total blindness. With quick reaction of Ellijay Animal Hospital the surgeon was able to save the right eye. We are forever grateful to the staff and vet for their quick reaction. Thank you all.

89 Gudger St, EllijayDoc Redman impressed me with the confidence he has in his knowledge. Takes a lot of experience, to make a diagnosis with the degree of confidence he displays. He made his diagnosis with complete confidence...and I saw an improvement in our dogs condition within hours of leaving his office. Another thing I liked about this practice, it didn't cost an arm and a leg for the visit, which tells you the first priority of Doc Redman,...is the patient!

great comfort for parents and pets
it is a great price but that would not be the title i would choose.
i became aware of this facility through my friend. even though she had checked it out, she was never able to use it because her dog passed away suddenly from cancer.
anyway, i called because we were going to be going out of town for a couple of days. i had checked in to having a pet sitter come into our home but for safety purposes, i decided to investigate a boarding location instead. you see, our boy goes into high anxiety and panic mode during storms and actually chewed off the door handle to our garage. (previously, when we lived in tampa, he had chewed through a couple of doors.) so, i could not put someone’s safety in jeopardy with a very terrified but very sweet, 84 lb lab.
i called the facility and had a delightful and informative conversation then decided to go for a tour. we loaded up and when we arrived (me, the hub and our boy), they were more than gracious in giving us a complete and unscheduled tour. i decided the minute we walked in that we would be using this facility: the girl giving the tour didn’t hesitate to take the leash and our dog went happily with the girl giving the tour. it smelled good. it was spotless. it was professional. they also board cats. luckily, i had our boys health record from our vet in tampa and was quickly advised that we needed another bordatella per georgia guidelines. the girl at the desk was more than helpful in advising how to do that even though we hadn’t established a new vet for the boy.
we dropped off the boy for a daytime babysitting appt to get him familiar with the facility and staff. we had decided that we would also board the kitten.
the staff is exceptional. they asked us for detailed information and instructions on how the 4 legged kids are cared for at home and they were very helpful in defining and clarifying our notes.
we got to go out of town alone for a grown up trip. we were kept in the loop with how they were doing while we were gone. every employee we had interaction with was kind and had compassion for our pets.
we will most definitely use this facility again.

Definitely have to stop by this place if you’re in the area to try all their delicious Apple treats! The building across the street from their market had a tasting room type of experience with their hard cider options and it had such a great vibe with delicious hard cider.

5704 Clear Creek Rd, EllijayMade a quick stop and tried a flight of their wines. Staff was friendly. Love the atmosphere. Was a very cold day and sitting by the fire was relaxing.
Tried a sampling of whites wines. I’m not a big wine person so take this with a grain of salt… they tasted great but were all on the sweet side.
Definitely worth stopping in and checking Cartecay out.

101 S Main St, EllijayI love everything about this resturant. The food is amazing but can be a tad bit expensive on first impressions. If you think of the amount you are getting it evens out to be more cost effecient. A small cheese dip is like 8 bucks but its larger then a Chipotle large cheese dip for just about the same price, and most entrees are able to feed me (i can eat a full rack of ribs in one sitting)feeds me 3 to 4 times.The people here are amazing people the only reason the service gets 4 stars is language barrier. To be expected most of the employees are not the best at English so sometimes small errors or miscommunication happens which is to be expected. They do try their best to over come the barrier unlike some restaurants. The atmosphere is always great they have indoor and outdoor seating, dog friendly, and they decorate to the max for holidays. Monday they have the mariachi band going around the building and that band has some of the most amazing people. I am friends with a very special needs child and he loves music. When ever he is at the resturant the band always includes them in their jams and its the most heartwarming thing to see! This resturant is the most amazing Mexican resturant in ellijay!

(The most underrated and hilarious show of our time!) Then our server was knowledgeable, kind & attentive. The selections were a hit with our family. Hummus 3 Ways was outstanding…best hummus ever! Black Goat pizza was so unique and beyond delicious. The Pomodoro was so classic and perfect…even without cheese (I can’t eat dairy). Ice cold Cokes in the bottle. A true gem! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
