“Two years before my father in law passed, he invited his tailor, David Mercer of Tom James Company, to come measure my husband and son and invited my husband's brother, who was already a client of David's, and his son. We had wine, were measured and each picked out a suit or a blazer for my father in law to give them as Christmas gifts. Ten years later and David is an essential part of my family's clothing life: he helps me maintain my husband's wardrobe, he has made several suits for our daughter in which she won a national forensics title while in college and several she continues to wear, and he has made blazers, shirts and suits for our son and even the suit in which he was married. We are trying to schedule an appointment now for my son who is in residency in Nashville to be remeasured for a new suit. I love working with David and look forward to each visit to catch up on his family and see the latest fabrics and ties!”
“First time customers: My husband, who was looking for a suit last minute, walks in and 5 minutes later he had a suit picked out thanks to the knowledgeable owners. He was shocked ?. Within the hour he was fitted for tailoring and we were out the door having found a quality suit for a black tie wedding. Amazing service and suit experience for Chattanooga and for this day in age. “Thanks to Bruce and Richmond, for getting me into their custom made shirts and suits. I wouldn't get dress shirts anywhere else again. They keep my measurements and preferences on file, so now I just go in, pick a fabric, and it's ordered! I highly recommend going to custom dress shirts and suits; the first time can seem daunting, but it is really just a few preferences and Bruce walks you through them all. I'm not sure if I like the custom fitting or custom design better though. I was so tired of the compromise of off the rack fitting based on just your neck size. Then there was the limits of what style and colors stores have in stock in what size, and different brands fitting differently. So glad I don't have to do that anymore. Get your shirts custom made by Bruce and you'll be glad you did!”

Since it was back to school weekend, the owners were covering shifts and we got a chance to visit with them. This is a wonderful store with a great selection and a friendly atmosphere. “I was just in the store Saturday July 26th and its days later and Im still in awe over how AMAZING our sales girl was! Her name was Faith and Lord did she give us all the faith! She even got my anti jeans wearing preteen son to get and LOVE a pair of jeans! I may have spent more than I planned but it was worth it! She truly was outstanding and I hope to encounter her our next time in the store!”

“Stopped in yesterday evening to try and find some chino’s (finding good pants is always a task for me lol) and was kindly greeted by Richie who then was able to help me find what I was looking for with the right size and style. I was also given some helpful information from Matt who was also working about the style I was trying to go for. I ended up buying 2 pairs of chino’s and at checkout, Richie helped by providing ways to save money on my purchases, such as the J Crew credit card. They both provided extremely high-end customer service — I will definitely be back (great deals and reasonable prices)! Richie and Matt deserve a raise/promotion!”

It's very difficult for me to find suits that fit me well off the rack, but I found a great fitting, nice suit with the help of the two gentlemen that helped me.
