Green's Grocery is a cute little grocery store and a gem in Gainesville. They are known for their delicious hot foods and homemade items made in store, including the best chicken salad sandwich, pimento cheese, slaw, and potato salad. They offer wonderful cold and warm lunch options, take home dinners, and have the best steaks, chops, and chicken. They also feature great fresh produce, local artisan breads, goodies, tons of gluten free accompaniments, and frozen vegetables. The staff is very nice, helpful, super sweet, and personable. The store has a limited selection and parking can be limited and sometimes hairy. It smells amazing when you walk in the door.
I love the pulled pork and the Mac n cheese and and all the meats really. But why did the chicken salad sandwich taste like tuna when I got it? Maybe someone made a mistake? I like tuna salad. But when that isn't what you ordered .....

We go for the items made in store (slaw, potato salad etc). Otherwise kind of a limited selection. Very nice and helpful staff. Parking is limited and sometimes hairy to back out of.
