“I was visiting Savannah and happened upon this cute shop. The owner was more than polite. We actually shared memories and our lives. She has QUALITY items and knows customer service. This shop is a hidden gem of Savannah and really made my last day of my trip. I know I will someday come back to this beautiful shop and buy more unique items.”

“I don’t know how I’ve missed this gem of a consignment store, but I have and I’m quite sad about that. I’ve been in 2-3 times since discovering it a month or so ago and it’s been a pleasant experience each time. The employees are very helpful and engaging. They will do anything to help you find what you’re looking for or just let you be if you want to wander aimlessly around shopping like I sometimes do!
With a ten year old daughter and an almost six month old son, this store has been a great addition to my shopping. I may even consider consigning here.”

“Before our trip to Savannah on a Saturday in October, I did some research to see what activities and areas were dog friendly. The guide mentioned that the Riverfront area had dog- friendly shopping, restaurants, and tours. My Miniature Schnauzer Coco, who happens to be black, and I came across the Black Dog General Store while walking along the Historic River Street. In front of the store were two amicable women handing out treats to anyone walking with a dog. I politely declined the doggie treat since my pup has a very limited diet and could easily get sick by eating a random treat, but it was a nice gesture. We walked into the store, which had clothing, bears, bags, and a bunch of other random things, all with the Black Dog name and logo printed on them. The items were pricey, but the quality seemed to be good. My Coco loves humans and was open to the store associate and customers petting him while admiring his Schnauzer cut. I decided to purchase a duffle bag. While checking out, I was startled by a very large dog tied up next to the front counter, and Coco was terrified. Fortunately, we did not get close enough for the dogs to make contact, but it would have been nice to know the dog was there. If you are a bougie dog owner and have money to blow, then I would definitely recommend visiting The Black Dog General Store: Savannah.”

“Well kept, organized store. The employees are always helpful. Lots of fun inventory with an emphasis on collectibles and niche subjects. (Sanrio fan? They have you covered. Disney fan? They've got your back. Marvel lover? You're sure to find something of interest here. Star Wars? Oh, take your pick! Halloween? Oh, they've got you tons to pick from. Etc, etc, etc.) Easy location to reach and best of all, they can order stuff for you if you need a different size or color (if the object comes in different colors or sizes, of course) and they can handle returns from online purchases. “OMGOSH!! Allie was amazing!!! We just left a horrible experience at other places not mentioning shops but the mall can do better in a lot of the shops with customer service. I asked my daughter to go in the Buckle and just look. Allie immediately helped her and paid attention to the details of what my daughter liked. She handed her several pairs of jean options to try on and went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable. We purchased 2 pairs of jeans, and we will be back to get more. Allie wrote her style of jeans on a card and the size, so we would have no issues next time. Everyone was so nice and helpful!! Prices are very reasonable!!”

“I am a local and visit this store very often and always have the best time shopping in here bc of the great staff. Last night was a little different as i was a little bothered by the behavior of the manager in charge named Mabry. The sweetest young lady by the name of Avery welcomed us in and was extremely helpful and as i shopped I heard her welcoming every guest, she helped me pick out perfect christmas gifts for my children along the side of a young man that I sadly did not get his name so i can give him his kudos as well. He was young with shoulder length curly hair(very helpful). The young lady was in the middle of a conversation helping me and Mabry interrupts us and very rudely tells this young lady to start folding t-shirts on the table. Avery was trying to help me and as if she was not rude enough to this poor girl i watch her and she walks off and stops and gives her the dirtiest look almost daring her to not start folding while she is helping a guest and then rolls her eyes and walks off. I continue to watch this manager bc if this was my daughter I would never want a manger to treat her this way. It was almost like she was just waiting for her to make a mistake so she could scold her in front of the whole store. The manager could not even do her closing duties for staring down this sweet young lady. Then here she goes again yelling across the store for her to stop leaning on the table. The way this manager Mabry talked to this young lady was very disturbing to myself and other customers and the way it looked Avery was doing a better job than the manager and maybe she needs to be demoted and Avery promoted. Palmetto moon has the best customer service from every employee i have ever came in contact with a this manager is definitely not a good fit. I myself am a manager and would never speak to my staff in the manner that she did. Mabry is the only thing negative i can say about this wonderful store and staff!!”

“Came here today workers are friendly, was greeted upon entering, very large place, a lot of clothing to choose from, and organized but I came looking for hard shell luggage but there weren't many available... Maybe like two or three but none in the size I needed. I did find a huge rolling duffel bag that I thought was nice and what's the price was good... I would definitely return”
