Dollar General in Helen is a small town store with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Customers appreciate the kindness of the team, who help find items like towels and are generally sweet and helpful. The store has recently implemented an AI-powered automatic payment system that greets customers and processes transactions efficiently. However, some customers find the store poorly organized, with shelves often blocked by carts and shelves not fully stocked, making it difficult to find items. Cashiers are rarely visible on the aisles, and shoppers often have to self-checkout. Despite these issues, customers recognize the effort to stock shelves during store hours and appreciate the friendly service, though some feel more organization would improve the shopping experience.
It was clean stocked and the cashier greeted us coming in as if we were royalty. We forgot we were walking into a DG. It was awesome. There was one young lady working both registers and it was busy but she was happy and treated everyone so well. Other DGs need to take a page out of her book.

Actually went to Campfire Restaurant, behind Dollar General. You need to try it. We shared a meal and still had enough for another meal and still had some left. Animals liked it 😄

Camping and forgot breakfast foods. Quick trip in and got all I needed.
