I realize they are understaffed. I really like the people that work there...but I cant STAND when they close 10 or 15 minutes early. this is the only store within 25 minutes of my home. when you close at 10pm.....DONT LOCK THE DOOR UNTIL 10PM. you have to do better. nobody likes their jobs. I get it. ut I cant close early just because. im so dissapointed in them dude. that is such a shitty lazy attitude. to save yourself what??? 15 minutes??? gross. ive been standing at the door for 15 minutes. I guess they decided to close 15 minutes early tonight. super dissapointed in them. I will be going to the other dollar general near my home from now on.

This place is a mess too many rotainers on the floor young lady working by herself this is not the first time I've come into the store. I spend a lot of time in Helen it's just unbelievable but they haven't cleaned this place up in the last 2 years still a mess. The shelves are empty price changes have not been done. Going to add a few pictures it would take me all day to take pictures of everything.

Before you come here, make sure you call and see if they’re open, ran by here at 7:50 st night and the lady told me, and a bunch of other folks that she’s close, no signs on doors indicating different closing times or anything.

We went into Helen this weekend for tubing from Decatur Georgia. Diane Galloway and the whole team was so very friendly and welcoming! She helped us find towels and her team is so sweet and kind. Can’t wait to visit Helen again!

It’s usually not open on the weekdays. I finally made it in this weekend and man what a disaster. No ice, all the eggs were busted and there was merchandise all over the floor. Not to mention the very long line and no cash back options.

Dollar General of Helen is your typical Dollar General so they sell various assorted items. The aisles here however are just so cluttered and unorganized. This place does have potential but maybe it needs new management. I also felt the employees could be more friendly, but I understand how frustrating it sometimes can be. Overall, I am sorry and sad to say that I do not recommend Dollar General of Helen as customer service and overall store cleanliness needs some improvements.

If I could do less than one star I would. Because of the stacks that are blocking the aisles, you can't find anything. It wasn't this way 2 or 3 years ago. Dollar general needs to get it together or else they just don't care which I'm thinking that's the truth.

Dont waste you time and go up the road to a different store or Walmart. Staff could care less. Just stands at the register with nothing in the shelves. Every row has boxes and boxes of product with signs that say “if you’re not an employee don’t touch” but what you need to buy is probably in there. Worst dollar general I’ve ever been to. The only reason this place exist is cause of the niche town it’s in has nothing of the sort so the people who go there have no choice but to buy what ever they have.

The woman working at the counter was super friendly, but this store is a disaster. Maybe they need to hire more people? But it was nothing but stacks and stacks of rolling carts needing to be organized and put away, empty shelves, tripping hazards, items on wrong shelves (probably placed by a random wandering customer). It was impossible to find anything I was looking for.

Came out to Dollar General 5:30 pm and the Store was Closed. The Sign said it would be open at 6:30pm. But now they are saying 7:00 pm. Please make up your Mind when you will be open!
