“The quarry is a nuisance to some that live around it but you knew it and bought there anyway so you the dummy not them they were there first. You got to understand when that was started all that area was wooded and considered "the country", there was no Barrett Parkway, no Cobb Place, or any roads except ones like Greers Chapel road. In my town we have 3 abandoned quarrys none have sink holes yet some have been gone for over 50 years. The way it is right beside McCullough Field is neat better hope you land in the right spot. Lol The rock from that quarry is what built Marietta and all things west of Atlanta.”

“They don't stock every species of hardwood. but they have a good variety and a good amount of stock and the prices are pretty reasonable, too. Whatever you find there, you'll be able to source more of it from them later. Great pricing on cabinet hardware too. I am never disappointed when I make the trek up there.
For more immediate needs I go to Carlton's Rare Woods which has a little of everything and is closer. That place is a real gem for Intown woodworkers.”
