I would not have your dog groomed at this site. I have had my labradoodle groomed here three times. Every time thinking this time would be better but nope it’s a disaster every time. They chopped his hair unevenly and the paws weren't even rounded just random hair. They had him for 7 hours and it looks like he had a 2 min cut. Very dissatisfied.

On 12/6/2024 at 4:50 Helena who works with the cats yelled at my child, who accidentally hit his head on the glass to the cat enclosure, “NO! NO! NO! DO NOT DO THAT!!” Instead of checking on him or even politely saying don’t touch the glass. Which he wasn’t even doing to be disturbing to the cats. She then proceeded to complain to another employee about my child loud enough for me to hear all the way at checkout. I will NEVER shop here again and I will be reaching out to a manager above her. What a poor representation of this company. Shame on you Helena.

When I arrived for my yorkie’s grooming appointment at 4:30, I was told her appointment was scheduled for the Warner Robins location which could not have been possible for I live in macon and my yorkie have been scheduled at this same location for years now also looking in my phone showed I definitely called macon location. They refused to give her a bath and said they all leave at 5pm, I replied I thought u guys closed at 6? They replied, they’re leaving at 5 pm today because it wasn’t busy! After speaking with Helena the manager ,weeks later after not returning my call…nothing was done about it! I definitely will be taking my business elsewhere

PLEASE READ BEFORE ADOPTING A REPTILE!!!
Aside from this one employee the pet smart community is really kind and helpful. But please do NOT listen to anything NIKKI has to say she will try to get as much money out of you as possible. No clue why she does this..maybe to boost sales or for personal pleasure, but she is a fraud that claims she know so much information. She cheat me and my boyfriend of at-least 300-400$ telling us we couldn't get out reptile without the correct habitat items, so naturally we agreed and spend the 400$ which was all we had at the time because we were unaware how expensive this was.
Then when we get home and do our own research we find out that she was completely wrong and we didn't need over half the things she got us to buy, and then had to buy the correct stuff. So what ever you do if you plan to adopt a reptile from them, make sure you do the right research so she doesn’t try to trick you.

Alright, so.. Petsmart is ok and good for getting food, animal equipment, and pet cats and dogs. But as a Zoology student and animal lover.. They drive me crazy! I hate walking in and seeing how they care for all those poor Beta Fish, they all look half dead and it makes me so sad every time. The other fish & reptiles are somewhat better, they most of the time look much better but a lot of them (fish mostly) look cramped together and they all have little to no decor or environment to the tanks. But they look ok and mostly healthy so it's better then the Beta fish. They have a great selection of feed and equipment though and I have gotten many of my family's cats from pet smart locations before, so they are pretty good. Just really not the best when it comes to fish & reptiles.

The people are Great! That includes Kaitlyn, Sara, Erin, Mitzi, and others who I may not see often! All of the Staff at the River Crossing PetSmart store in Macon GA are Wonderful! ?

Hours on Waze showed they closed at 9pm. Storefront showed they closed at 8pm. Google showed 8pm and I could have called to verify hours but I used Waze. I also learned that I will never shop at this Petsmart again based upon the customer service response we received. Do better.

I went to purchase flea medication for my cats. I saw an employee throw away huge amounts of dog food to the trash dumpster at the back of the store. I asked if the pet food could be donated to local shelters that are in great need of it, he advised me that PetSmart cannot give food away. The employee said that the food is marked down price wise, and once it expires they have to throw it away. I asked if there is a way that the food can be donated to the shelters before it expires, he had no answer for me. I am hoping that PetSmart can create a program where they would donate pet food to the local shelters prior to it expiring instead of throwing it away. PetSmart is such a huge company and it would make such a difference to local shelters and the community if this would be something that PetSmart would do.

The customer service at this store is below average. We came in and bought hundreds of dollars worth of items only to be told at least 4 times as we tried to checkout at 7:50 and make 2 dogs tags that were closing in 5 minutes and we would only be able to make one. We were leaving town next day and needing these tags. The manager and the cash register assistant both told us multiple times as we tried to checkout. I decided to return everything and just go to pet supplies plus where customer service is much better. I will never shop at this store in macon again.
